JELAIR - Maersk Air, Boeing 737-2L9 (OY-MBZ) - version 3 Download

Images related to this file:

File Description:
This aircraft (for FSX, with update-patch #2) is a simulated replica of Maersk Air's 'Pocket Rocket' OY-MBZ (a Boeing 737-2L9 a.k.a. 737-200/Advanced) anno 1989. It is designed for a screen-resolution of 1280x1024. Other resolutions have not been tested. It will NOT work correctly in FS2004 (FS9). It has been tested on Windows XP (32bit) and Windows 7 (64bit) only. It is designed to be as realistic as possible, and flight-experience from the real aircraft, as well as large amounts of documentation, have been used to get it as accurate as possible. It has a fairly advanced panel with many systems simulated, such as a passenger oxygen system, a cabin pressure system, anti-skid brakes, EPR control of each engine (with the possibility of asymmetric thrust), IVSI with TCAS, Sperry SP177 autopilot with working CWS and level-change button, active yaw-damper, Quality-of-flight index (so you can see how well you operate the aircraft), windshield wiper, custom flight-computer, automatic Vspeeds for takeoff and landing, takeoff trim calculator, master caution system, PAX simulator (if you make a mistake they may die), a JT8D-17 engine with slow spin-up time (do not idle it on approach). It features a relatively realistic random-failures/error simulation which will trigger, or de-trigger, any of a variety of possible failures/errors (from small gauge-errors to large engine-failures or cabin de-compression). The chance of a failure/error is very low (you may never even get one, but they can happen, so stay alert), maybe less than 1 percent chance per 24 hours of flight-time. It features engine-management simulation, so overheating an engine will cause it to fail (now you actually need to pay attention to the EGT during engine-startup, and have your finger ready at the fuel-cutoff switch just in case you need to save the engine from heat-damage). It features sounds recorded from the actual aircraft (OY-MBZ).

This is the third release of this JELAIR addon. A very big thank you to all the following very talented people that participated directly or in-directly in the production of this add-on: Original Model by Erick Cantu, Original Panel by Pablo Contouris, Original Panel BMP by Bob Scott, Original Panel Gauges by Ken Mitchell, Doug Dawson, Pierre Fasseaux, SPanel, www.FS2X.com, Original Sound by Christoffer Petersen, Original Textures by Henry William, FDE, various modifications and adjustments for aircraft type, as well as additional gauges and sounds by JELAIR

RAF Bircham Newton - Norfolk, England Download

File Description:
RAF Bircham Newton is a former Royal Air Force station located 2.1 miles (3.4 km) south east of Docking, Norfolk and 13.4 miles (21.6 km) north east of King's Lynn, Norfolk, England.

The site was first used during the First World War and received the largest British bomber of the time, the Handley Page V/1500. They would have carried out bombing missions against Berlin but the Armistice was arranged before any missions were actually flown.

The airfield was equipped with one aircraft repair shed and three double bay general service sheds, although these had been demolished by 1937. It had two Belfast hangars, three C Type hangars, three Bellman hangars and ten Blister hangars. It operated through the Second World War as part of No. 16 Group RAF as part of Coastal Command.

No. 206 Squadron RAF was one of the squadrons being based there, on maritime patrol duties. Two satellite airfields, RAF Docking and RAF Langham were opened to accommodate units. In 1965 the airfield was used for evaluation trials of the Hawker Siddeley Kestrel V/STOL aircraft.

After closure as an operational airfield in 1966, the airfield became the home of the Construction Industry Training Board. The runways have gone, but the majority of buildings on the site, including some hangars and the control tower, remain in use by the CITB.The control tower was demolished in 2010 due to its poor condition. Constructionarium is also based within the estate, providing a week's practical learning opportunity for undergraduates

Boeing 737NGX Checklist Download

Images related to this file:

File Description:
There are already some great checklists for the PMDG NGX done by others but what I've found with these checklists is that I find them to include many steps that I normally don't perform on every single flight, things like testing all fire bells and whistles etc. So for this reason I decided to first setup the cockpit in a cold & dark state which corresponds to how the flightdeck should look like for every single switch in the cockpit according to the Boeing doc that came with the NGX after running both the shutdown and secure flows and then from this state make a checklist including all the phases of the flight from preflight at the origin to securing the a/c at the destination.

Since I'm doing all my flying online I have also included items such as filing your flightplan, asking ATC for push and engine startup clearence etc. Not fully realistic to include those kind of items in a checklist but the main purpose of this checklist will be to serve as a memory note how to perform a correct flight online in the NGX. Being used to the company of a FS2Crew FO this checklist will be there to help not forgetting about any steps during all the phases of the flight. If you just like me have been looking for a simple checklist that will help you remember all the normal steps performed on a normal flight I hope you'll enjoy this checklist!

De Havilland Canada DHC-6 Twin Otter CIRPAS #236 Download

Images related to this file:

File Description:
This folder contains a repaint for the Aerosoft Twin Otter Extended, in the colors of 762256 (c/n 496). Formerly N83NX, this aircraft is registered with the US Navy, but flying for the Center for Interdiciplinary Remotely-Piloted Aircraft Studies (CIRPAS), a research center at the Naval Postgraduate School in Monterey, California. The CIRPAS Twin Otter is an instrumented twin-engine turboprop aircraft. It supports individual scientists as well as teams of scientists from various Universities and Laboratories who are interested in lower-tropospheric phenomena and air/sea interaction. Payload may be selected from a large suite of state of the art meteorological, aerosol, and cloud particle sensors, while additional equipment collaborating scientists may wish to include can be integrated as well. Twin Otter mission have been sponsored by ONR, NSF, DOE, NOAA, NASA, CARB, and NRL. Instruments may be installed in racks inside the cabin where a well characterized community inlet delivers ambient air samples, or in pods either suspended by wing-mounted pylons or mounted on a hard point on the cabin roof. Optical ports and windows are on the airplane’s belly and in the cabin roof. CIRPAS staff calibrates and maintains the facility payload and provides fully reduced, synchronized, and coherent data sets to the collaborating scientists. The Twin Otter is based at the CIRPAS Marina Facility, but has been deployed to various locations in North, South, and Central America and Asia. Amundsen-Scott Station Download

File Description:
The Amundsen-Scott South Pole Station is the American scientific research station on the high plateau of Antarctica. This station is located at the southernmost place on the Earth, the Geographic South Pole, at an elevation of 2,835 meters (9301 feet) above sea level. Since the Amundsen-Scott Station is located at the South Pole, it is at the only place on the land surface of the Earth where the sun is continuously up for six months and then continuously down for six months. (The only other such place is at the North Pole, on the sea ice in the middle of the Arctic Ocean.) Thus, during each year, this station experiences one extremely long "day" and one extremely long "night". During the six-month "day", the angle of elevation of the Sun above the horizon varies continuously. The sun rises on the September equinox, reaches its maximum angle above the horizon on the summer solstice in the Southern Hemisphere, around 20 December, and sets onthe March equinox. During the six-month "night", it gets extremely cold at the South Pole, with air temperatures sometimes dropping below -73 C (-100 F). This is also the time of the year when blizzards, sometimes with gale-force winds, strike the Amundsen-Scott Station. The continuous period of darkness and dry atmosphere make the station an excellent place from which to make astronomical observations. This file has the apron and characteristics of the airport the coordenates are placed as far south FS allow it.

FSX/P3D Aloha Airlines DC-3 circa 1958 Download

Images related to this file:

File Description:
This is a repaint of the DC-3 in Aloha Airlines colors. The freeware DC-3/C-47 v3 by Manfred Jahn is needed for this repaint. Aloha was founded in 1946 under the name of Trans Pacific Airways. With a single DC-3, they offered passenger charter and cargo services between the islands of Oahu, Maui and Hawaii. On February 11 1949 they officially became a scheduled service airline. Their main rival was Hawaiian Airlines, and in 1957 they changed their name to Aloha Airline to better compete against Hawaiian. In 1959 a modern F-27 joined the fleet, which forced the retirement of Aloha's aging DC-3 fleet by the mid 1960s. They also introduced the Viscount 745D in June 1961. BAC-111s were acquired in 1966. However, the British made airliners had limitations in the very humid environment of Hawaii, and in 1967 Aloha ordered 2 Boeing 737-200s with a further 6 in 1968 to replace the BAC-111s. The 737s were destined to become the workhorse of the airline, with over 60 being used by Aloha over the years. Their iconic "Flower Power" livery was unveiled in 1969, and was reintroduced in 2006 on one of their 737 as a retro livery. Due to heavy financial problems caused by various factors, Aloha unfortunately ceased operations on March 31 2008. This DC-3, N2804D, was leased by Aloha in the late 1950s. Textures are DDS DXT5. This repaint was tested on FSX-SE and should work on FSX & P3D v1-3.

FSX Canadian Airlines (Concept) Boeing 737-MAX10 Download

Images related to this file:

File Description:
This is a repaint for the amazing TDS Boeing 737-MAX10. It includes the base model, high-quality textures, a VC, and custom ground service vehicles. Canadian Airlines never flew the Boeing 737-MAX10, as by the time the company was absorbed by Air Canada in 1999 the aircraft did not exist. Canadian Airlines did fly a fleet of 77 737-200's and -300's. However, in our new universe, Canadian Airlines has taken delivery of one single Boeing 737-MAX10, available to fly any route of your choice. It flies under the registration C-FCDS and the tail number 731. Livery Info This is a concept livery created completely by me. I'd like to think if Canadian Airlines still existed, they would be thinking about rebranding into this wonderful, modern livery. It features Canada Goose on the tail and red and blue styling representing the mountains and sea; two of Canada's most stunning natural features. The engines are also splashed with some red, and the Canadian Airlines Chevron adorns the belly of the aircraft, as well as on the Sharklet wingtips. MAX VC and Cockpit Info This aircraft includes a VC updated to closer resemble the true-to-life MAX cockpit. The VC is the Microsoft/Alejandro Rojas Lucena/FSND base modified by Speedbird77 including gauges by G. Munro. I have also modified the 2d panel. I increased the size of the PFD and MFD to better fill the panel. If you don't like this modification, you can search for the original panel included in the base model.

Nord Noratlas Israeli Air Force (4X-FAP) Download

Images related to this file:

File Description:
This folder contains a repaint for the Nord 2501 Noratlas by Projet Noratlas in the colors of N2501IS 4X-FAP, the first of the Noratlas aircraft used by the Israeli Air Force. In the immediate post-war era France produced a plethora of prototype aircraft, nearly all of which vanished without trace. One of those that made good was the Nord 2500, a cargo transport with the same twin-boom configuration as the American C-119, with the cockpit in the nose of a capacious nacelle. Like the US type, the rear doors were of the left/right clamshell type, so for air-dropping heavy loads they had to be removed before takeoff, causing turbulence and high drag. Despite this, the more powerful 2501 proved an excellent aircraft, produced in large numbers in France and Germany in a programme that led directly to the Transall, produced by the same partners, designed in 1959 and flown in 1962. Israel bought eight N.2501 IS direct from Nord in 1955-59, a further 12 from Germany in 1962, and four more later. The first, 4X-FAP, was delivered before the end of 1955, and immediately proved extremely popular and capable. Eight Nords had been purchased and these were used extensively to re-supply IDF columns in Sinai. To assist with these re-supply efforts other Nords were made available from the French Air Force and were requisitioned from Israeli Airline EL-AL which used them as freight transports. Repaint by Jan Kees Blom, based on the paintkit by Projet Noratlas.
