| G-O Enterprises "Stage coach" Douglas DC-6A / C-118A (C-GPEG) |
|

File Description:
Textures for Tom Gibson's Douglas DC-6A/C-118 - repainted by Manfred Meyer.
You need to download and install the latest Douglas DC-6A CB-16 base pack with model, sound and panel from the website calclassic.com.
These textures depict C-GPEG (c/n 43576), flying cargo for Willy Laserichs G-O Enterprise from Yellowknife throughout Canada's northwest. Its a former USAF C-118A and has been around a bit as the flags of all at these times visited nations attest. After civilianisation a talented young lady from Tucson painted the "Stage coach" nose art on it and in 1978 W. Laserich bought the plane. Later on she went to Northern Air Cargo of Alaska as N99330 and lost her colorful markings.

| Buffalo Airways "Buffalo-Joe's Favorite Plane" Douglas C-47 (C-GPNR) |

File Description:
Probably the most famous flying C47 these days, we even can say she is a movie-star.
Making a repaint which already exists is always tricky , people start to compare and gues which one is the best.
Be assured I do not like to see it as a competition.
Even more tricky is making a repaint based on a default livery wich comes with the aircraft ,
Normally I do not make paints on request , let alone one based on an existing default livery.
For this "movie-star" I am happy to make an exception.
Taking the default LES DC3 in its Buffalo livery to start with was quiet logic.
In the end not much of this original livery has left the way it was , shapes were changed , text reshaped and logos reversed.
Neverteless there are some lines and shapes wich I did not enterely by myself.
My main goal was to reproduce a C-GPNR wich comes as close to reality as I can.
Big problem is the fact the plane changed its looks so many times ( like all pretty girls do ) , its hard to tell exactly how and what.
Outside made close to reality.
Cockpit colors giving a C-GPNR experience.
Cabin, giving a Buffalo Air- feeling.
I hope you`ll enjoy this flying legend.

| Consolidated PBY Catalina C-FCRR |

Images related to this file:
File Description:
This folder contains a repaint for the Aerosoft PBY Catalina for FSX. It is shown here as C-FCRR, with Air France colors. Built by Boeing of Canada at Vancouver, it became RCAF Canso 9767 on March 4, 1943, and was allocated to Squadron 162, coded S, at Reykjavik, Iceland. In 1944, piloted by Flying Officers Thomas Charles Cooke and Eric Walter Wiskin, 9767 sank the German U-boat U-342 off the coast of Iceland on April 17. The amphibian was removed from the military service on April 1, 1946. The same year it was sold to Canadian Pacific Airlines, registered CF-CRR and assigned fleet number 233 (later 933), it was operated until 1959, thereafter by Northland Airlines (1960-1968), Midwest Airlines (1969-1970), and Ilford Riverton until 1973. The registration was changed to C-FCRR when Avalon Aviation acquired it as a water bomber in 1977, listed as Tanker number 791.
In 1995 the aircraft was bought by Powell Eorp. Of Parry Sound, Ontario, subsequently it was owned by the Canadian Air Legend. The French pilot Franklin Devaux bought C-FCRR in 1995 and converted it to a flying television studio, it was based at Le Bourget, Paris, France. During 1996 C-FCRR was the star of monthly French television programme Operation Okavango, while in September 1998 it was the eye catcher of the three-week Champs-Elysees (Paris) static air show. The following October the aircraft started an 8,078 mls (13,000 km) trip to Chile via Dakar (Senegal) and Natal (Brazil) to commemorate early Air France South Atlantic mail service, returning to France in June 1999. On January 19, 2002 the aircraft was stored at Orly Airport, Paris, and has not flown since. Its Canadian registration was cancelled on October 7, 2005. At present it seems to be registered as N9767, and in airworthy condition again. Here's a youtube movie on this aircraft: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=s6jyzV8Gawc. Repaint by Jan Kees Blom, based on the repaint kit by Aerosoft.
