Bleriot XI PH-BLÉ Download

Images related to this file:

File Description:
This folder contains a repaint for the Bleriot XI by Wings42 in the colors of PH-BLÉ, an airworthy reconstruction based in the Netherlands. "The “Early Birds” Bleriot XI bears the Dutch registration PH-BLÉ and was built as ‘homebuilt’ project nr. 78. This aeroplane is a reconstruction built by the Early Birds Foundation in Lelystad, the Netherlands, to original specifications and using as many authentic materials as was practical. It is powered by a 3-cylinder 45 hp Lenape Papoose engine. The original plane was fitted with a now very rare 25 hp Anzani 3 cylinder which for obvious reasons was not available. Fuselage woodwork is ash with steel bracing wires. The aircraft has made several flights preparing for the commemorative Channel flight, celebrating the first Channel crossing by Louis Blériot 100 years ago. More on this aircraft can be found here: http://www.vroegevogels.org/projects/bleriot-xi/. Repaint by Jan Kees Blom

Supermarine Spitfire Mk.IX (OO-ARE) Download

Images related to this file:

File Description:
This folder contains a repaint for the Spitfire Mk.IX by FlyingIron, in the colors of Spitfire LF IXc OO-ARE as it looked around 1960 when flying as a target tug with Cogea in Belgium. Originally NH238, it went to the Dutch Air Force in 1946, where it flew as H-60 and H-103. It went to the Belgian Air Force in 1952, becoming SM-36. It was sold to Cogea of Ostend in 1956, and was used as a target tug until 1961 with the registration OO-ARE. It was sold to the UK, becoming G-MKIX. It was damaged from a ground fuel explosion in Exter in 1961, but restored again. It went to the US in 1969, where it became N238V, returning to the UK again in 1979. It was last flown as NH238/D-A, but it was removed from the registry in 2002. It is rumored to be in storage at Greenham Common. Repaint by Jan Kees Blom.

Hawker Typhoon MN875 RAF 181 Sqn EL-B Download

Images related to this file:

File Description:
This folder contains a repaint for the Aerplane Heaven Hawker Typhoon in the colors of Typhoon MN875 EL-B of No 181 Squadron, a regular mount of Flt.Lt. Robbert 'Bergy' van Zinnicg Bergmann while 181 was based in Helmond, 1945. Van Zinnicq Bergmann was a cavalry officer at the start of the war who managed to escape to England, arriving there in 1942. He joined the RAF, flying Hurricanes, Spitfires and finally Typhoons, first with 181 and later with 182 squadron. He stated: 'for me, the Typhoon was love at first sight, of all the aircraft I had flown, this looked by far the most agressive'. His agression as a pilot earned him the DFC and a promotion to Flight Commander with 182 squadron. After the war, he became aide-de-camp to the Dutch Queen, in the end serving three queens as Lord Chamberlain. He died in 2004.. Repaint by Jan Kees Blom, based on the paintkit by Aeroplane Heaven.

Transavia.com Boeing 737-800 "BWIA Hybrid" Download

File Description:
PH-HSX (c/n 28225/433). This repaint features the Transavia.com bird that was leased from BWIA/Caribbean Airlines during the 2007 summer period. I included allot of dirt, wear and usage markings on this repaint just to let it be as realistic as it can be. Transavia.com is a Dutch airline wich was formed from two existing airlines, Transavia and Basiqair.com (Basiqair being the LCC from that time and Transavia the "normal" carrier) they fly to a big part of the holliday destinations using Boeing 737-700/800 aircraft. In the summer periods they mostly lease extra planes to handle the busy summer period, in the past they leased planes from South African Airways, Spicejet and Sun Country (In the winter periods they lease out some of their material to them). The homebases of Transavia.com are Amsterdam-Schiphol (EHAM), Rotterdam-Zestienhoven (EHRD) and Eindhoven AB (EHEH) in the Netherlands. I wish you many pleasant flights with this beautiful repaint!

KLM 'retro', Douglas DC-3 (PH-PBA) Download

Images related to this file:

File Description:
Repaint for MAAM DC-3 (Freight version) of DDA Classic Airlines DC-3 PH-PBA, using the original KLM deco-drawing and some genuine Autocad-lettering. Renowned repainter Jaap de Baare helped me out with the dorsal fin striping. (thanks Jaap!)

PH-PBA (c/n 19434) is originally an US 8th AF C-47A from 1944 and took part in famous airborne ops. like D-Day and Market Garden. After the war, she became Prince Berhards' personal transport. In 1998 she came to fly with the Dutch Dakota Association, now DDA Classic Airlines. The Dak is one of currently two airworthy DC-3's in Holland, operated by DDA and currently based at Lelystad airport. End 2010, she was repainted at Schiphol Amsterdam by KLM into this smart looking 'retro' livery from the sixties.

The texture files included are the fuselage, wings, props and darker (realistic)window textures. You'll need the donationware MAAM R4D/ DC-3/C-47 !!

Air Zaire F-27-500 1982 Download

Images related to this file:

File Description:
This is a repaint of the F-27-500 in Air Zaire colors. The freeware FSX Native with VC F-27-500 by Bjorn Kesten is needed for this repaint. It was converted from Mike Stone's and Tom Gibson's models. The textures are 32bit DDS. It was tested on FSX-SE, but should work on FSX & P3Dv3. Air Zaire operated 2 F-27-400s (leased) and 8 F-27-600s (purchased). In 1983 they put in an order to Fokker for 4 F-27-500s. However the aircraft were never delivered. To avoid collapse, due to financial problems and rising expenses, Air Zaire's fleet was reduced in 1984. One B-737-298C, and two F.27-600s were withdrawn, while the new Fokker F-27-500 order was cancelled. This repaint is of one of the Fokker F-27-500s which were ordered by Air Zaire, but never delivered. It was painted in Air Zaire's scheme, with Dutch registration.

NGAT Douglas C-54A Skymaster Download

Images related to this file:

File Description:
Re-upload. FSX/FS2004 NGAT Douglas C-54A Skymaster. Immediately after WWII had ended in Europe, KLM director Dr. Albert Plesman travelled to the USA. He visited President Harry Truman and succeeded to persuade the President to have a batch of 18 Douglas C-54A Skymasters delivered from the Surplus Property Board, in order to (re-)establish several medium- and long-haul routes and - from February 1946 on - the KLM Indies route from Amsterdam to Jakarta, then named Batavia. For several reasons, a.o. the sensitive political situation with regard to Indonesia (by then still a Dutch colony called Netherlands East Indies), the aircraft were purchased by the Netherlands Government Air Transport and carried military roundels and serial numbers, although they were used as civil aircraft. Later on they were sold on to KLM and received civil registrations. These are textures only. You will require Jens B. Kristensen's great Douglas DC-4 & C-54 (dc4_v21.zip). Original textures by Jens B. Kristensen. Repaint by Maarten Brouwer.

PACD - Cold Bay - Aleutian Islands, Alaska, USA Download

Images related to this file:

File Description:
Cold Bay is in the eastern third of the Aleutian chain of islands in Alaska, around 175 miles east of Dutch Harbor. The small town has a population of just over 100 and is in existance solely because of the airport with its long runways, one just over 6,000 feet and the other over 10,000 feet and with an ILS. Goods are flown here for local redistribution. The airport was originally built to this size for use in WW2 and there are still quonset huts from this time visible in the area, though the majority of the rough-and-ready housing has now been cleared away. There are scheduled flights by Grant Aviation to neighbouring local airfields and flights to and from Anchorage by Peninsula Air (included in the AI posted with Adak) and Grant Aviation have space attached to their hangar that serves as a terminal. The Coastguard also make use of Cold Bay.

Niederrhein - Laarbruch 2009 v0.8 Download

Images related to this file:

File Description:
Along the Dutch border, four airbases were built. All four of them had about the same shape and dimensions. All four of them were RAF bases, operated by RAF Germany, serving in the cold war. Slowly, one by one, they either closed or were converted for other uses. Geilenkirchen became a NATO base with AWACS aircraft operating, Wildenrath closed in 1990 to be converted into a Siemens train testing center. Brueggen closed in 2002 and I think it is now being used as army base. Laarbruch closed in 1999, to reopen as a civil airfield in May 2003. ------------ This scenery is a kind of beta version, I kindly ask you to read all about that in the readme word document. This scenery features all new 3D objects, including photorealistic elements. In my opinion this scenery captures the EDLV - ETUL atmosphere very well. The airport is located near Weeze in Germany. Please forget about my previous EDLV versions - this one is way better.
