Springhill Aerodrome (New Zealand) Download

Images related to this file:

File Description:
SpringHill (ICAO: NZSL) is a small airstrip between Warkworth and Wellsford, north of Auckland in New Zealand. It is privately owned tarseal strip with offset thresholds giving usable landing lengths of 680m and 700m for RWY 16 and 34 respectively, a width of 10m and a group rating of 5. The runway is aligned 16/34. The tar seal strip is supplemented by a grass strip of the same length but 30m wide. No night lighting or fuel is available. I decided to model it after doing a roadtrip north of Auckland and taking lots of reference photos of the smaller airfields suitable for the size of aircraft I fly in real life. I am also planning to model Parakai aerodrome in the near future and Kaipara flats has already been modelled. It contains fully custom Gmax buildings and phototextures.

Aviacsa Boeing 737-200 (XA-NAV) Download

Images related to this file:

File Description:
Aviacsa, a Mexican airline serving destinations throughout the Republic of Mexico as well as in the United States, still operates a sizable fleet of six 737-200s. This is one of that fleet, registration XA-NAV. The history of this aircraft started far away from Mexico in New Zealand. It was delivered to Air New Zealand from Boeing in February 1986 as ZK-NAV. This aircraft was the first of the B737-200s Aviacsa acquired from ANZ. This aircraft was fitted with a hushkit until 2003; since then it is configured as you see it here.

This is a textures only package; you must have the Tinmouse 737-200adv v2 base package available here at AVSIM (tinmouse_ii_v1_25.zip). The textures in this repaint are 32-bit with no mips. NOTE: This is a re-upload due to the AVSIM site compromise.

Canadian North 'new livery' Boeing 737-275C (C-GOPW) Download

Images related to this file:

File Description:
Canadian North has served the Northern Territories for over 75 years. It is a company 100% owned by aboriginals and provides service to all northerners including its 30,000 shareholders (Inuvialuit and Inuit of Nunavut). This particular Boeing 737-275C, painted in Canadian North's new "full polar livery", like several in their fleet, is actually a Combi model which can be configured to carry both passengers and cargo. This type of configurability and flexibility is necessary for the routes and destinations this airline flies. A splash screen is included in this package.

This is a textures only package; you must have the Tinmouse 737-200adv v2 base package available here at AVSIM (tinmouse_ii_v1_25.zip). The textures in this repaint are detailed 32-bit with no mips. NOTE: This is a re-upload due to the AVSIM site compromise.

Landsberg Airbase Updated Download

Images related to this file:

File Description:
The "AI_Landsberg-Airbase_FS9" package from AVSIM is the SECOND part of this airbase. The package by Klaus Jone installs several AI planes, a Traffic File and an AFCAD. All the AI models are also included. This is a COMPLETE package. I have included TWO files which create a more exact airbase polygon for ETSA Landsberg. Just compare the screenshots...BEFORE and AFTER the installation of my two VTP files... The alteration is obvious immediately when you switch to TOP-DOWN view of the airbase. Or go for a flight round the area. I designed these two files for my own enjoyment of Landsberg. However, it is now my turn to offer something back to all flightsimmers. Little though it may be. Credit for this ETSA Landsberg Airbase belongs to Klaus Jone and Stefan Deiters. Without a doubt!!

YLEA Leeman, Western Australia (Snag Island) airstrip and town Download

File Description:
YLEA Leeman - formerley Snag Island is a tiny fishing village which is ideal for fishermen and holiday makers eager to get away from the more commercialised centres. Calling itself the 'Home of Western Australia's Dhufish' the settlement boasts huge and dramatic white sand dunes, good beach and offshore fishing, safe beaches for surfing, swimming and sailboarding, and superb displays of wildflowers in the spring. Leeman is home to a crayfish (lobster) fishing fleet which plies the fishing grounds off the coast in the season. The industry developed in the 1950s and has since become one of the most important on the Central West coast. It is also a dormitory suburb for the nearby sand mining town of Eneabba. P-51D Mustang 'Live Bait' Download

Images related to this file:

File Description:
A repaint only for the payware Warbirdsim product 'Mustang Tales'. This repaint depicts the restored P-51D-25-NA 44-73343, "Live Bait", which completed a ground-up restoration by Midwest Aero Restorations in 2010. The aircraft spent most of the 1960's as a Reno air racer, with the names "Seattle Miss", "Esther's Mink", "Traveler", and "Miss Salmon River". Following a crash landing at the 1971 races, the aircraft would pass through a few owners until restoration finally began on the aircraft in 2005. The aircraft first flew again in July 2010, and took home the Reserve Grand Champion WWII award at the 2010 EAA Airventure Oshkosh air show. The markings are that of Captain Clayton Kelly Gross, 355th FS, 354th FG, 9th Air Force. Kelly Gross was reunited with this, 'his' airplane, at Oshkosh 2010.

Tu-142M Bear Download

Images related to this file:

File Description:
TEXTURES ONLY......This is a repaint for Samdim's freeware Tu-142M......The premise of this fictitious repaint is the modernization of the Tu-142M to extend its life and retirement to the year 2030. What would Tupolev do to accomplish this? The exterior repaint that I have presented is intended to capture the look and feel of a test bed aircraft using modern metals, coatings, composite panels, etc. I used a lot, and I mean a lot of artistic license on this one. It would be nice to be able to add a more modern 2D "glass" panel to this aircraft's cockpit, but this is beyond my skill set. I would think that would be one of Tupolev's upgrade to this aircraft....I've included BMP textures with and without MIPMAPS.....I have only tested these modified textures in FSX Acceleration.

YE-ZB Navy Navigation System Download

Images related to this file:

File Description:
YE-ZB was a Top Secret WW2 US Navy system developed by Frank Akers for homing aircraft to their carriers. This bundle, for FS9, includes two aircraft equipped with the necessary gauges to simulate the YE-ZB system. It is similar to the US Radio Range system, but with changes to make the system usable only by the US, while not increasing the vulnerability of the carriers to detection and Direction Finding. At the start of WW2 all US carriers were equipped with a UHF device called the "YE" which transmitted a Morse code letter denoting a 15 degree arc of a circle with the carrier at its center. Navy aircraft used the AN/ARR-2 UHF homing receiver (sometimes called "ZB"). Pilots were given daily information so they would know which direction corresponded to each Morse letter.
