Vueling Airlines Summer 2004 v1.1 & Winter 2004-2005

File Description:
This is a update of my Summer flightplans as they have added Seville. And I have also included Winter flightplans, they will start serving Madrid and they drop Ibiza. Vueling's hub is Barcelona and fly to: Valencia, Ibiza (will stop during the winter), Palma de Mallorca, Paris, Brussels, Seville (new) and Madrid (new since November). I have included a text file for those who like to install flightplans with TTools, and also a zip file to be used with MRAI's great installer. Flightplans based on the information available at their site, and with both reg nums. FS-Alliance.

Star Dust

File Description:
This package contains a full install of the Star Dust add-on which is a compilation of four seperate planetary systems. The package includes new nebulas, planets, moons, and bases. Three of the systems have a nebula in place of the system star. The fourth system has a double star. In each case they are strickly eye candy and in no way represent a true 3D universe. Although the nebula images are from actual Hubble pics the celestial bodies and everything else about this addon is fictional. Neither are the nebula render in 3D they are only simple images. However I believe you will find them all to be quite beautiful.

Generic aircraft Navigation log

File Description:
A Navigation log (navlog) sheet which can be used with any aircraft. After watching a cockpit video from a BMI Fokker 100, I saw the navlog that every pilot has to fill out on each commercial flight in detail. I also realised that there isn't one available to use in FS, so I created one myself. It is in a Word document format so it is fully editable to suit the aircraft, airline etc, and then you print it out and fill the required fields in as in real life. Full instructions on use are provided with the readme file. Definitley a handy realism tool for you realism freaks (like me)!

Schwenz Vintage 1938 Air-strip

File Description:
1938 is a scenery built in the high mountainous terrain of Alaska. It was built for my friend Scott Schwenz and as a dedication to his fathers Alaskan dream. This scenery features mostly a vintage appeal with sounds custom sounds and custom vintage texture ideas. Project SkyHigh: 'Back to School' Bus package

File Description:
This pack contains a school bus that is suitable for AI traffic. This can be used for FSX, FS9 and FS2002. If you know how to make AI Traffic, then fill up the FS world with these little buses. You can also drive it too! Take her for a spin around downtown New York or Chicago. This bus features a realistic diesel soundset that simulates the gear shifting of the 4-speed Allison automatic transmission. It features a custom panel that has the internol views of an 18-wheeler. The reason I did this is because you won'y feel embarassed driving a school bus! Enjoy this bus all you can!

B-17G Once in'a While

File Description:
A repaint of the Wings of Power 2 B-17G in the colour scheme of the 100th Bomb Group 349 Bomb Squadron's aircraft Once in'a While. This aircraft was lost while on a mission to Saarbrucken in November 1944, but not before it had managed to fly over 40 combat missions. You will need to have purchased Shockwave's Wings of Power 2 B-17G for FSX to utilise this repaint. The file contains the textures, a thumbnail pic for the FSX menu, a text file to add to your B-17G config file, and a Read Me file with comprehensive installation instructions and historical details on the aircraft. REX recompressor

File Description:
For those lucky of us who own a SSD drive, Gbytes are a valuable thing. Fortunately, Real Environment eXtreme does compress the lovely textures that it provides. It uses deflate, a well known lossless compression algorithm. But the algorithm implementation used (probably the one provided by the .Net DeflateStream class) is not that good. Here is a little tool that recompresses the texture with zlib, a better open source implementation. Remember that it is lossless compression we are talking about so no worry for the quality, the orignial bitmap remains the same. The gain is about 1.83Gb (from 9.13 to 7.3) for REX SP3 Overdrive.

RAM Aircraft Inc Beech Baron STC Conversion

File Description:
This is the stock Beechcraft Baron 58 set up with a an aftermarket STC coversion package from RAM Aircraft, Inc of Waco, Texas. The package replaces the factory 300hp Continental IO-550-C engines with new 325hp TSIO-520-WB Turbocharged engines, giving a 50hp increase, and the sustained power of the turbochargers means a 100lb increase in Max GW, sustained 1500fpm climb rates, and 200 kt cruise speeds. It also includes new McCauley BlackMac Props, Defeathering accumulators, new exhaust, and PowerFlite 100-amp alternators. Also included are new extended range fuel cells giving a total to 190 gallons. Also includes a replacement 2d panel with gauges from various authors.

Tips and Tricks - Part 6 - An Ongoing Series

File Description:
Tips and Tricks - Part 6. A new collection of Tips and Tricks - several of which have been provided by readers of this series. This issue includes, amongst other things, a tip that may help you use FS2002 aircraft in FS2004, a flying "challenge" that is unique to say the least and several other recommendations that may be of interest. A bonus file is included also. My goal, as usual, is to provide something of value for simmers of all experience levels.
