Airline Inventory Update #2

File Description:
(Update 2 - 3 January 2006) Not long ago I embarked on a project to streamline my flight simulator's AI setup. I knew I had too many aircraft texture sets that I was not using, too many unnecessary night texture files, installation of defunct airlines, and the like. So, I put together a spreadsheet showing my AI system with all the airlines and additional pieces such as vehicles and ships. This has been a very large and time-consuming project as my AI system has more than 7,000 texture sets, more than 2,200 airline folders, and other assorted AI components. Inside you'll find an Excel spreadsheet with all my airlines (more than 2,200) listed, Birds, Blimp, Corporate Aircraft, Defunct Airlines, Douglas DC-3, Float Planes, Government Aircraft, Helicopters, Medical Aircraft, Military Aircraft, Personal Registration Aircraft, Ships, and Vehicles - all associated with the FS AI system. In addition, I've included the spreadsheet's source text files for those that do not have Microsoft Excel. NOTE: You can download an MS Excel spreadsheet viewer (freeware) from the Microsoft site. Because of copyright restrictions and the size of my AI system, I have not provided links to specific files. However, I think you'll find the data very useful. SimWesterly Level 2 (updated)

File Description:
This is level 2 of my FSXSimcopter Series. This level is in a password protected zip folder, so you would have needed to complete Level 1 of SimWesterly in order to get the passcode to open this mission. I have added a folder by Len Hickman of scenery objects that he made for FS2004. They will work with FSX however some objects texture files do not work. I used some of his objects in this mission.

DC-2 (C42 USAAF)

File Description:
Here's a Douglas C-42 or better known as a DC-2 including an update On James Underwood's fs98 panel with a very good rendition of the Flight instruments of the day. The Sperry Gyro Pilot is used as the main Horizon attitude instrument on the early airplanes, thought to be reliable Enough to stand on its own but according to Ernest Gann (Fate is the Hunter) Did tend to fail at times leaving the flight crew with the basic needle ball and Airspeed instruments. Later most airlines including KLM supplemented it with A gyro horizon for the captain’s side.
