JG 52's first victory was achieved by Hans Berthel when he shot down a french LeO 451. Requires prior purchase/installation of Wings of Power WWII Fighters pack or Bf109-E3/E4 solo available.

The mountain peaks in the area are high, the scenery is beautiful in the spring and summer and the lift is good. Come and visit the area and maybe even try to soar over to Dyer (2Q9) on the Nevada border or try to see Mammoth Yosemite (KMMH) in a sailplane. The area will make for a good weekend of soaring fun.

Soaring at Elmira, NY

File Description:
It is a summer afternoon, August, and the thermal activity has picked up in the Elmira, NY area. Might just be time to pull out your Schweizer 2-32 and make a tour around the area. We use Harris Hill 4NY8 as our launch site but there are several neat ones in the area such as KELM,NK52 or even NK47. Of course there are no real boomers in thermal activity as one finds out in Marfa or Odessa in West Texas but then this is fun too.
