Kimmirut is a village of some 400 folks at the southern end of the southwest-facing coast of Baffin Island, 75 miles southwest of Iqaluit. It is on the northern side of the Hudson Strait between Baffin Island and Quebec, opposite Kangiqsujuaq on the Quebec shore. The airfield is served by two flights per week, one on Monday and another on Friday, only half fueled to be able to use the 1,899' of gravel 75' wide runway. The terminal building is small and there is a garage building for airport maintenance vehicles (snow clearing). There are some nearby buildings that I have included. The village is "represented" (not "modeled") with approximately the right shape and road layout. Take enough fuel so that you can leave again, as fuel is no longer for sale here. The Cape Dyer bgls are to make a small correction, it is explained in the text. I will not be posting new sceneries in the future and this is the last one for Avsim; it completes Baffin Island.

This freeware AI package, produced by Miljan Korac in conjunction with Military AI Works , features the Beech 1900D, C-295M, C-130H/H-30 and IL-76/78 aircraft of the Algerian Air Force based at Boufarik Air Base (DAAK). Algeria is a user of both western and eastern technologies in its Air Force the fleet makes flights all over the world but mostly in Europe. Algeria still keeps its Air Force numbers a secret so data for this package was based on best available information but is not intended to be 100% accurate. This package also includes custom made scenery for Boufarik Air Base (DAAK) including a custom made gate guard Mig-21 model also by Miljan Korac. This freeware AI package, produced by Mark Campbell for Military AI Works, contains all 68 Lockheed Martin F-16 Fighting Falcons and 5 Northrop F-5 Tigers belonging to the Republic of China Air Force, 401st TFW based at Hualien AFB RCYU. There are four squadrons within the 401st TFW at Hualien AFB; they are the 17st TFG, 26th TFG and the 27th TFG all using the F-16A/B and the 12 TRG using F-16 A/B and RF-5 E. This freeware AI package, produced by Miljan Korac in conjunction with Military AI Works , features PC-9M aircraft
of the Slovenian Air Force based at Cerklje ob Krki Air Base (LJCE). Slovenia uses nine PC-9M local name Hudournik
modified and armed by Israeli RADOM company. Cerklje ob Krki is under huge reconstruction which will make the base
able to accept the biggest NATO aircraft such as C-17 or C-5. Package also includes custom made scenery for Cerklje ob Krki.
This scenery features a lot of custom made objects which will increase reality of Air Base.
Scenery represents level of reconstruction chosen by Project Manager.
