File Description: A model of Dak Seang Airfield / Special Forces Camp. This primitive outpost was located high in the mountains near the Cambodian border, about 15 km north of Ben Het. It was widely regarded as the most remote and vulnerable Special Forces camp in South Vietnam. It was frequently attacked by the NVA and Viet Cong. The name Dak Seang means "river of blood." The 1,400' clay runway at Dak Seang was suitable only for helicopters, C-7 Caribous, and other short-field capable aircraft. In November 1970, Dak Seang was turned over to the ARVN Rangers.

File Description: A model of Ben Het Airfield / Special Forces Camp. This remote base was located in the mountains near the Ho Chi Minh Trail, about eight miles west of Dak To Airfield. Ben Het was almost constantly under attack throughout the war. In 1969, a battle between US and NVA armored units was fought here and several NVA tanks were destroyed. Tank battles were a rare event in Vietnam. The PSP runway at Ben Het was 1,500' long with a helicopter landing pad at each end. Consequently, only C-7 Caribous and other short-field capable aircraft could land there. In December 1970, Ben Het Airfield was turned over to the ARVN Rangers.

File Description: A model of Nam Phong RTAFB as it appeared in mid-1972 when much of it was still under construction. Nam Phong was originally an obscure Thai Air Force training facility located about 60 miles south-southeast of the large USAF/Air America base at Udorn. In response to increasing NVA attacks in the Central Highlands of South Vietnam, the US Marine Corps transferred three fighter/attack squadrons (known as "Task Force Delta")from Da Nang to Nam Phong. A new 10,000 ft. concrete runway was built, and roads, aircraft parking and housing/storage areas were hacked out of the jungle by a joint USN/USMC engineering team. Nam Phong was nicknamed "The Rose Garden" in jest due to the extremely primitive conditions that existed there when the Marines first arrived. The nickname was borrowed from the Marine Corps advertising slogan, "We don't promise you a rose garden", which in turn was inspired by the lyrics of a popular country & western song by Lynn Anderson. The three USMC fighter/attack squadrons that took up permanent residence at Nam Phong were the VMFA-115 "Silver Eagles", the VMFA-232 "Red Devils", and the VMA(AW)-533 "Nighthawks." This enhanced model supercedes the Nam Phong scenery that was uploaded three years ago. It should be compatible with FS 2004. Requires the trees_v3.zip object library by Gerrish Gray.

File Description: Flight Dynamics update for the Antonov AN-225
Required (AN225-04.zip or AN225-2.zip).
Suggested Sound: lotad18t.zip
Suggested Panel: cacp234e.zip
Several factors have been included to create this final update/upgrade, and there will be no further on my part. Several leaps around the globe, and many hours of research have helped me perfect this aircraft as much as possible for FS2002 fans. It now contains 99% of the authentic dynamics for this aircraft, and the rest I will leave alone. The "readmefist" document explains most details, including flight instruction, and the "AN225data" text includes the aircraft details. When you this Aircraft.cfg and an225.air file to your current AN-225, you will notice substantial changes. My testing has shown that these are as correct as possible for FS2002.
