Airport Environment Upgrade 8

File Description:
These are the textures from the unfinished version of the Airport Environment Upgrade (AEU8) project that I abandoned in December of 2005. For best results you should use these textures along with AEU7 (aeu7.zip) because only about half of the textures were ever finished for this project. These textures have not been tested with FSX and are not expected to display properly in that version of Flight Simulator. Seasonal runways, taxiways, ramp areas, and about half of the airport building textures were completed. Reflective effects were never added to the new textures before the project was abandoned. A completely new version of AEU for FSX is planned for the future but I haven't determined when work will begin on that project.

FsPassengers (ver 05 september)

File Description:
FsPassengers 2004 is an add-on for Flight Simulator 2004 that will completely revolutionize the way you fly in Fs2004. Here are just some of the features of FsPassengers 2004: Add passengers to your flights! Finally, you're not alone in the sky. Passengers react to how you fly your plane. Hear them scream if you make drastic mistakes, and get their opinion of your flight in real time. Provide in-flight passenger services such as movies, music, and drinks. Make money for successful flights; be fined if you do something wrong. Manage an airline (make money, manage aircraft fleets, etc). Maintain your aircraft in good condition, otherwise you may experience unique and suprising failures. Create and maintain pilot careers. Keep detailed logs and statistics for every flight you make (great for virtual airlines). Fly through dangerous parts of the world, and risk the safety of your plane, crew, or passengers! Export your flight to your Virtual Airline. This add-on includes more than 200 in-flight sounds to immerse you in the ambiance of flight. Hear feedback from your co-pilot, flight attendants, passengers; listen to ATC chatter, music, GPWS, and more. All screens and reports work in full screen. No need to quit FS. - This demo is fully functional apart that you can only start a flight from San-Francisco area (but you can land anywhere)

MRAI FlightPlans Compiler

File Description:
The MRAI FlightPlans Compiler is an AI flightplan generator. It is the program Most Realistic AI has used to make all its AI flightplans. The program can read any real life airline timetable formatted in a special way. Based on the timetable, the compiler finds in a logical way, (dependent on place, time, aircraft and flight number) the best combination of weekly AI flightplans. The compiler calculates the heading and distance between two airports. Based on heading, distance and aircraft type, the compiler calculates the best Reduced Vertical Separation Minima (RVSM) cruise altitude suitable for the flight. The MRAI FlightPlans Compiler is public domanin and the source code is included.

Last Offline Update - October 2006 - for EditVoicepack 3.1

File Description:
Classic but still used by many simmers: EditVoicepack 3.1 for FS2004. One of the options at the time, was the (manual) Offline Update. That ended around 2009. And by now also the developer himself, Lars Moellebjerg, can no longer provide this update anymore. Lost in time it seemed.

Version 3.1 is still available for download on the official site, but it does NOT contain the last Offline Update, according to several forum threads here and there. Fortunately, I found the update on the outskirts of my hard drive. Lars kindly granted me permission to upload it to AVSIM.

AirEd152 Update

File Description:
AirEd(itor) has become one of the most versatile .air-file editors for MSFS 2000 up to 2004/FS9. For FS9 in particular the treatment of section [1101] has become pivotal for tuning the aerodynamics of FS9 aircraft. Yet, for many users the expert jargon remains obscure. Yahia now provides more information on [1101], making tuning easier to understand! References to the CFG file are made as well. Just right-click on an item in [1101] to see new amendments, test values and hints. Some divert from earlier insights or explain where things can go wrong. Also about taxiing are some new hints. AirEd now becomes an easy to understand "Must Have" for everybody interested in tuning FS9 aircraft.
