File Description:
This is the second in a series of airfields that follow that early access route to the Canadian northern shore, the Mackenzie River. At the far northern end of the river there are Tuktoyaktuk, Inuvik, and Fort McPherson, all posted. Fort Good Hope is at 268 feet ASL and on the east bank of the Mackenzie, 180 miles southeast of Fort McPherson and 100 miles west of Great Bear Lake. The town has a population of around 560, and the main sources of income are from the traditional trapping and hunting. The airport is a mile south of the town, and has almost 4,000 feet of gravel runway. There are scheduled flights to the town by North Wright; I also have two AI GA flights and a Buffalo Airways delivery trip that hops north and south from field to field.

This scenery for FS-2004 as much as possible represents Saglek (CYSV), located at the north of New Foundland, Canada according to photographs found on the Web. This scenery is compatible with Mesh de M.Gilles Gauthier. Several originators took part in the design of this scenery: Regis Dassylva, Gerald Allaire, Gilles Gauthier and Jean-Pierre Fillion, all members of Concepteurs Virtual du Quebec.

| Gang Ranch CAY2 in British Columbia Canada |

Gang Ranch is on the eastern side of the Coast Mountains of British Columbia, around 50 miles west of Green Lake and 5 miles west of the Fraser River that runs north-south at that latitude (51 degrees 30 minutes north, in round figures). The airfield is among some farm fields and difficult to spot (this will depend on your personal textures and settings) and the ranch buildings are scattered and a mile or two away, the nearest being the owner's house. The runway is gravel, only 1,800 feet long and aligned 08-26 at 2,150 feet above sea level. There is no lighting. I have posted it as Gang Ranch CAY2, but I suggest that you just add it to your previously created "BC airfields" (if you did that) and avoid the inevitable doubling up of common textures etc. Plus that way you will have just one FS9 library post to do and new airfields will not need yet another posting. | Tetlin Lake |

Welcome to Tetlin Lake! Great scenery and fantastic fishing are found throughout the entire area. Tetlin Lake sits in an outdoorsman's paradise. One may fly in and land at the airport or use the floatplane facility at the lake. This is a great vacation spot, and is about as comfortable a place as one may find in the vast expanse of Alaska. Bigger airports such as Delta Junction, Tok Junction and Northway, are not too far from Tetlin Lake. While Tetlin Lake is truly a real-world lake, this scenery is fictitious. Please enjoy!

Ust-Kamenogorsk is located in East Kazakstan approximately 1200 km to the north of Almaty and at about 3500 km to the east of Moscow. The Ust-Kamenogorsk airport, called (TOF / UASK), is located 5 km to the west of the city. It's very close to the real one. High detail and a very accurate representation of the airport is given. | Kugaaruk CYBB and DEW Pelly Bay CWPB in Nunavut, Canada |

Kugaaruk is on the coast of northern mainland Canada on the Boothia Peninsula, 60 miles into a deep north-south fjord-like inlet called Pelly Bay. The name was changed from Pelly Bay in 1999, and the population is around 800. Gjoa Haven is 150 miles to the west, and Hall Beach just over 200 miles to the east. Six miles south of the village, and connected by a gravel road, there is a NWS station and what remains of a DEW Auxiliary Site; the DEW site was closed in 1992, a year after the NWS station became operational. There is also a 3,350 feet long gravel runway beside Barrow Lake 2 miles east of the site, Pelly Bay CWPB. Kugaaruk airfield is adjacent to the village and the 5,000 feet of 100 feet wide gravel runway is aligned 049T/229T where T stands for "true" as opposed to magnetic. There are flights by First Air and Canadian North and the AI includes a daily flight of each from Yellowknife via Gjoa Haven (as per real life) plus a cargo visit by Buffalo. Although the runway is long enough to accomodate a 737 it is not licensed for regular scheduled jet flights; the reason for this is that the approach lighting is "inadequate". Included here is a new .bgl for Gjoa Haven which will remove the small hold short line from the gravel; my mistake.

| The Alaskan Pipeline - Valdez Terminal and Pump Stations - Updated |

File Description:
The Alaskan Pipeline - Your opportunity to explore one of the largest and most difficult construction projects of our time and see some spectacular scenery while doing it. This is a representation of the Valdez, Alaska Terminal and several Pump Stations along the 800 mile Alaskan Pipeline which extends from Prudhoe Bay to Valdez. The project was originally designed for ZIA Cargo/Sunspot Charter VA pilots, but is now being made available to the flightsim community. This is a completely new installation package which replaces all previously uploaded files and which clarifies the installation procedure. Complete instructions in .doc and .pdf formats are included. Please unzip (using folders option) to a temporary folder and follow the instructions very carefully. Scenery and design by John J. Hogan - Afcads and project compilation by David "Opa" Marshall.

| Excursion Inlet Cannery for the "Glacier Bay" scenery |

File Description:
Excursion Inlet is in Alaska and in the area covered by Holger Sandmann's scenery called "Glacier Bay" which you will need to have already installed. It might work with just Ultimate Terrain, but then there will be no float base in the same inlet (nicely modelled by Holger and the team) which from the air is pushed off to one side (as a significant landmark, not literally!) by a large cannery which has been there since 1908. And rebuilt several times, I hasten to add, so don't think you're getting a museum piece here. And the only thing nearby that looms larger than the cannery is nature; lots of water, mountains, and trees. For me to start this Holger's scenery had to be there, so without it you won't get the same result.

| Bethel Terminal Building correction |

This is the correct substitute terminal building for Bethel PABE. Somehow, and I cannot now remember how it could possibly have happened, the wrong terminal building was included with the posting of an updated version of Bethel. I wrote at the time that the actual Bethel terminal building could not be made as it was too complicated to be made with the little information that was available. I then modified the Alaska terminal building from a previous scenery at Nome and included it in the Bethel scenery, as shown in the screenshots that were included with the posting of Bethel. But, somehow, the terminal from Barrow was wrongly included in the posting that is currently available. If you have the wrong terminal building (see the "wrong" screenshot) then substitute the attached bgl's for your existing ones and get the "correct" terminal as shown in the pic here.

File Description:
Assiniboia Airport is located 11 km (7 miles) north of the town of Assiniboia in south central Saskatchewan, Canada. The airport is situated on the site of the wartime aerodrome built as part of the British Commonwealth Air Training Plan.
CJN4 Assiniboia was constructed using GMAX. It includes photo-real custom models of all the buildings at the airport, runway signs, refueling facilities, weather station, vehicles, runway and taxiway lighting and a rotating beacon. It also includes custom ground textures to replicate the crumbling decommissioned runways and cracked tarmac. The scenery replicates the pilot activated ARCAL lighting of airfield approach lights, edge lights, runway and taxiway lights.
