| Cache Creek CAZ5 in British Columbia Canada |

Cache Creek is a small village of around 1,000 folks on the eastern side of the Coast Mountains of British Columbia, around 70 miles northeast of Pemberton and 40 miles west of Kamloops. The village is in a valley bottom and recently suffered from severe flooding due to the overflow of the river. The airfield is high above the town, with a runway aligned 15-33 and 3,280 feet of asphalt, without runway or taxiway lighting; hence "airfield" as opposed to "airport". I have posted it as Cache Creek CAZ5, but I suggest that you revise the name to perhaps "BC airfields" and just load my future airfield posts into the same scenery and texture folders to avoid the inevitable doubling up of common textures etc. Plus that way you will have just one FS9 library post to do and new airfields will not need yet another posting. | Green Lake CBG2 in British Columbia Canada |

Green Lake is on the eastern side of the Coast Mountains of British Columbia, around 40 miles north of Cache Creek and 15 miles south of 100 Miles House (a previous posting). The airfield is beside the lake shore and serves the Flying U holiday ranch with a grass runway 2,575 feet long and aligned 18-36. There is no lighting. There is also mooring on the lake for boats and float planes. I have posted it as Green Lake CBG2, but I suggest that you just add it to your previously created "BC airfields", if you followed my previous suggestion. You then avoid the inevitable doubling up of common textures etc. Plus that way you will have just one FS9 library post to do and new airfields will not need yet another posting. Up to you. It just occurred to me that probably only a few of you have a copy of the Nav Canada Airfields handbook, so won't know the airfield altitudes, which is useful to have amid mountains. So, Pemberton is 670 feet Above Sea Level, Cache Creek 2,034 feet ASL, and Green Lake 3,550 feet ASL. The others to follow as posted. If you find a defect, email me.

| Gang Ranch CAY2 in British Columbia Canada |

Gang Ranch is on the eastern side of the Coast Mountains of British Columbia, around 50 miles west of Green Lake and 5 miles west of the Fraser River that runs north-south at that latitude (51 degrees 30 minutes north, in round figures). The airfield is among some farm fields and difficult to spot (this will depend on your personal textures and settings) and the ranch buildings are scattered and a mile or two away, the nearest being the owner's house. The runway is gravel, only 1,800 feet long and aligned 08-26 at 2,150 feet above sea level. There is no lighting. I have posted it as Gang Ranch CAY2, but I suggest that you just add it to your previously created "BC airfields" (if you did that) and avoid the inevitable doubling up of common textures etc. Plus that way you will have just one FS9 library post to do and new airfields will not need yet another posting. | Puntzi Mountain CYPU in British Columbia Canada |

Puntzi Mountain is near a village called Chilanko Forks, approximately midway between Bella Coola and Williams Lake and just north of the Chilcotin to Bella Coola Highway. It is what remains of a military base and which currently shows in FS9 as a town, reduced in my scenery version to what remains after the base was closed and cleared. All that remains of the base is now the runway, over 6,000 feet of asphalt aligned 04-22, unlit, at 2,985 feet above sea level, and with centre line markings that are almost invisible. The runway is used in the summer for whatever local fire-fighting operations are needed by ConAir and there are some buildings and fuel tanks for this. It is also used for local flights such as those for a lodge on Puntzi Lake to the north. I have added three AT-802 textures with additional tail numbers for use in the AI. These are to be added to an aircraft that you very likely already have and which was included in Don Grovestine's posting of Abbotsford CYXX. I have also included the revised config file that adds the planes to Don's original; save the original config under another name and replace it with mine. Put the three new texture folders in with the original, which is called "CYXX-AI_Air Tractor AT-802 (Wheels)". If you do not have Don's scenery I suggest you get it, as his work is worth having and like Greg Putz he puts in a lot more effort than I do. The L188 Electra should already be with you if you downloaded my Smithers CYYD scenery. If you find a defect, email me.

| Chilanko Lodge CBX3 in British Columbia Canada version 2 |

File Description:
This is a revised post of Chilanko Lodge, which is an airstrip that serves the Lodge of the same name on the beach of One Eye Lake. The lake is close to the eastern side of the Coastal Range, 30 miles south of Nimpo Lake and 30 miles west of Puntzi Mountain, both previous posts. There is also a dock for float planes. The runway is 2,900 feet of gravel aligned 10-28, unlit, and at 2,972 feet above sea level. I remade this scenery as I was not very satisfied with the surrounding terrain, and then there was a reported terrain level problem. It is now better than the first time around, in my opinion anyway. I have posted it as version 2 of Chilanko Lodge CBX3, but I suggest that you add this to your "BC airfields" folder as previously suggested. Up to you. If you find a defect, email me.

Chilko Lake and Scum Lake are both on the eastern side of the Coast Mountains of British Columbia. Chilko Lake CAG3 is around 30 miles south of Puntzi Mountain and at the northern end of the lake, serving Tsylos Park Lodge, which caters for trekking, horse riding, mountain biking, fishing etc. The runway is 3,200 feet of gravel aligned 18-36 and unlit, at 3,850 feet ASL (above sea level). Scum Lake is around 30 miles southeast of Puntzi Mountain and 25 miles northeast of Chilko Lake. Don't ask me about the name. The airstrip appears to serve a small village and is noted as "private", so perhaps also a lodge operation. The runway is 3,500 feet of gravel aligned 03-21, unlit and at 3,921 feet ASL. I have posted these as a separate scenery, but I suggest that you just add it to your previously created "BC airfields" and avoid the inevitable doubling up of common textures etc. Plus that way you will have just one FS9 library post to do and new airfields will not need yet another posting. There are three grass airstrips within sight of each other from the air at Twin Lakes in BC, which is between the close junction of Elkin Lake and Vedan Lake. The two lakes are similarly shaped and sized and in the same narrow valley between high ground that runs north-south; hence the name. Elkin is to the north, and Vedan is to the south. Twin Lakes CAG4 is on the strip of land between the two lakes and it is unclear to me who it belongs to etc. It is not in the Nav Canada copy that I have with me which is from 2010, and the online version does not cover grass strips. It is probably owned by whoever lives in the house next to the red hangar. The runway is 3,600 feet of grass aligned 14-32 at 3,945 feet ASL. Chaunigan Lake Lodge CF83 is over to the northwest from Twin Lakes by around 2 miles or so and as the name suggests it services the Lodge of that name, which is on the northeast corner of Chaunigan Lake. The runway is 2,600 feet of grass aligned 02-20 at 4,900 feet ASL. You might want to read about altitude power reductions for the take off. Elkin Creek Guest Ranch CBL9 is at the southern end of Vedan Lake and serves the ranch. This appears to be another high-budget operation and the runway is 3,670 feet of grass aligned 36-18 at 3,999 feet ASL. I have posted this as three separate airstrips, but I suggest that you add these to your "BC airfields" folder as previously suggested. Up to you. If you find a defect, email me. Tsuniah Lake Lodge is an airstrip that serves the Lodge of the same name at the western end of the lake. Tsuniah Lake is close to the eastern side of Chilko Lake, some 7 miles south of the northern end of Chilko Lake and the recent post of Tsylos Lodge. Tsuniah Lodge is at the eastern and lake end of the grass runway, which is 4,000 feet of grass aligned 04-22 and in good condition at 4,026 feet ASL. No lights. The lodge is extensive with numerous separate cabins and I would expect the prices to be up there with the cost of the chartered planes that delivered guests. There is a second airstrip included here, around 3 miles north of the northern end of Chilko Lake and which used to serve the Wilderness Ranch before it was closed. The runway closed I mean. It is still visible but now not used at all although the ranch still functions.
