The SR-71 Blackbird "Mach2" for FU3 from October 2001 by Daniel Lindstrom,
reloaded now.
This aircraft should make you able to pass the sound-barrier twice for the first
time in
FU history! It takes some practice to get used to it so please have patience,
remember that
it still is a Beechjet just altered to look and have the speed of the SR-71.
This is the original zip from October 2001 by Daniel Lindstrom lost in the
library crash.

"Seattle '08" Elevation and Scenery update for FU3 Seattle region - Part 1 of 2

File Description: This is Part 1 of the second release of the NASA elevation, this time with flattened airstrips and readjusted packages. This part also includes the AI files. The original release by Andre Meystre improved the terrain accuracy, especially near rivers, mountains and sea. This version has most strips updated and should also be very stable (no CTDs!) as it includes all necessary models and files. There are 2 parts to this update - make sure that you get both. Enjoy ;-)

File Description: FLEDViewer for FU3 Version 3.0. This is FLEDViewer version 3.0, tested/rebuilt for Win7 and all other Windows.
You can open model files .mod created by FLED in FU3 with up to 4000 model entries.
You can create TAB separated lists of the models.
You can edit x,y,z coordinates of models and even move the full set to a new location.
Most important feature is the unchecking of model entries that will remove it from the file at save.
This will help when corrupted models are in the file after FLED crashes. This files then will disturb FU3 and the bad entries can't be deleted using FLED, so do it with FLEDViewer

Visual GTL Editor

File Description: This is a standalone program that allows you to change the terrain textures of outer terrain megatiles by applying altitude based rule changes. This means that the Editor allows you to do what FU3 does through the RULES.TXT file but in visual form and on a per tile basis. The Editor converts and displays l0xxxx.gtl files and their corresponding l5xxxx.geo elevation files to 512x512 bitmaps. It also displays useful information when moving the mouse across the main display, i.e. Min Alt, Max Alt, Alt Range, Alt Index, Texture and so on. The Index value is an altitude range corresponding to the 64 colours used to create the elevation bitmap and is useful when specifying Min Alt and Max Alt values for rule changes. You can apply up to 8 rule changes at a time (just repeat until you get the desired results), either to the entire tile or to a subsection defined as X and Y co-ordinates. The Editor displays X-origin and Y-origin values within the tile as an aid to this. You can use this with the default 13 textures or with my extended 26 textures.

File Description: Tower-controlled outer terrain airport for FU3. Grant County International MWH lies in the outer terrain east of the Seattle region. It's in the Columbia River Basin, a few miles from Ephrata and at the north end of Moses Lake. Full comms, AI, ambient sounds, airport buildings, paved taxiways et c. as usual. Works best with a full installation of FU3's Seattle and outer terrain with FU2's Sanfran region. For best effect use also various 3d object libraries all available in the Avsim Library as otherwise this airport will lack a lot of 3d objects.

Flight Unlimited III Seattle Region expansion up to Vancouver

File Description: With this zip you get the opportunity to expand the Seattle region of your FU3 flight simulator up to Vancouver. The original region has 100 tiles (10x10) and the new region will hold 180 textured tiles (10x18). After all installation steps are done you will have a low resolution area from Coupeville Nolf up to Vancouver, but still better than OT texture. Everyone who's interested can obtain this set of megatiles with proper elevation and a basic scenery layout each one may take this to a more refined level later. Whether one elects to keep the basic textures or replace them with good orthophotos the terrain is there and new airports can be shared and used by everyone with an expanded high-res region. You will need 6 other files from the AVSIM library to prepare your game for this expansion, see readme file inside workfolder.
