This is a livery-paint I made for the Leading Edge Simulations Douglas DC3.
Not just a normal average paint , no, this time a real thrill for those who want someting "obscure and spectacular"
This paint depicts (more or less) the N9012 in a livery for "Bird of the Sun" Air Travel Club.(1978)
Special for this livery is the fact both sides of the plane have different textures.
Both textures show the Maya-god "Quetzalcoatl" ( serpent-alike-symbol) , on the right with an animal-head ,on the left with a more human face , both known from the Maya-culture.
Thats why I named this paint Quetzalcoatl.
As usual this skin-package also includes customised cockpit/cabin texturing and normalmapping.
New for this paint-job is the addition of some "virtual-cabin-windows"(exterior effect only)
How to install:
Just unzip Quetzalcoatl.zip in a temp folder.
Start reading Quetzalcoatl Readme.PDF carefully FIRST.
I really hope you`ll enjoy this very special and rare livery as much as I did during the extremely time-consuming process of making it.

G-GDMW livery by Leen "Flybike" de Jager, for the Leading Edge Simulations
"Beechcraft Duchess".
Its always very rewarding adding something to an existing model using new possibilities given by newer versions of X-Plane.
Low res version for XP9 included also.
This time I used the higher texture-resolution and added some more bumpmapping for in- and exterior.
To achieve this all I had to edit some OBJ files (with kind permission from L.E.S.) to activate things like gloss and the bumpmap-effect.
Adding this skinset to the Duchess all liveries will benefit some of the enhances from this skinset too ( e.g. normalmapping for main wing and yokes and an overall a bit more attractive look).
Unzip G-GDMW to a temp. folder and have a good look at the readme.

This archive only contains textures for the Carenado 172II V2 aircraft. In order for it to work, you need to own this specific aircraft.

The textures herein are made from the Carenado blanks. I have made every attempt to faithfully reproduce N1971F to the best of my abilities. Limitations in the blank paint kit make it impossible to mirror correctly the right fuselage, as only the left fuse is included. This means certain omissions were necessary.

This is a texture-set made by Leen "Flybike" de Jager for the Ercoupe 415C made for X-Plane by Arno54 , Khamsin & Beber. Published and downloadable at XPFR.

Though this model was initially ment for low-end computers with X-Plane9 it happens to be a very nice model to be used with X-Plane10 as well.
Adding normalmapping to this model resulted in a bit more realistic looking little bird,wich is absolutely a thrill to fly.
No feet needed this time its a pedal-less plane.
How to implement?
If you do not have the plane already, download it from XPFR and install it first.
Unzip USA_Ercoupe.zip into a temp. folder.
Now you`ll find in this folder:
a map called "american125196"
a texture file named"ercoupe_EXT_nml.png"
a PDF file named "american125196_README FDF"
Start reading this PDF carefully!!

Repaint by Leen de Jager for the excellent freeware Nakajima Ki-44 Shoki by Zenya.
To use this skinset its vital to have the original plane installed!

This Nakajima Ki-44 Shoki by Zenya is a great freeware add-on.
Nevertheless very complicated to paint and the default livery is missing the extra`s normal files can give us.
I decided to add a complete set of normals to the model and make a complete in and exterior repaint for it.
In other words , I added normals to the model and it`s default livery and I added the
Nakajima Ki-44 Shoki Nr 53 livery.
Unzip Shoki Nr53.zip to a temp. folder and read the README.PDF carefully.

I painted the B738 in the old fashioned "Flying Clubhouse" livery. If you don't mind flying fictional planes it should be a good choice for a around-the-world trip.
