This folder contains a repaint for the A2A Spitfire in the colors of Spitfire Mk Vc BR290, one of the aircraft of 249 Sqn, based on Malta. It arrived on Malta with operation Bowery, when it was flown off USS Wasp on the 9th of May 1942. Lessons had been learned from an earlier delivery run, and all 61 aircraft that reached Malta were immediately refuelled and rearmed, to be ready to repell the axis airfleets that came to destroy them early on the 10th. In the resulting air battle, the Italian bombers were chased away, and 47 German fighters were shot down (for the loss of 3 British), marking the end of daylight raids on Malta. This folder contains a repaint for the A2A Spitfire in the colors of Spitfire Mk Vb EP829 T-N, the aircraft of Squadron Leader Joseph Lynch, the CO of No 249 squadron, based in Malta 1943. Sqn Ldr Lynch was an 'Eagle' squadron veteran, originally from California, and he became an ace flying this aircraft, shooting down 4 JU52's, a JU88 and a Caproni CA313. One of the JU52's was the 1000th axis aicraft destroyed by Malta's defences. Lynch later joined the USAAF, with a final score of 10 aircraft destroyed and 7 shared. EP829 survived the war and later ironically joined the Italian Air Force as MM4069. It flew with 51 Stormo, which 3 years earlier was involved in the attack on Malta.Repaint by Jan Kees Blom, based on the paintkit by A2A.

This folder contains a repaint for the A2A Spitfire in the colors of Spitfire Mk Vc EP343, one of the aircraft of 249 Sqn, based on Malta. It arrived on Malta with operation Insect, when it was flown off HMS Eagle on the 1st of August 1942. It was probably overpainted on the Eagle, where the tropical stone color was replaced by what was probably dark sea grey. Repaint by Jan Kees Blom, based on the paintkit by A2A.

This folder contains a repaint for the A2A North American T-6 Texan/Harvard in the colors of F-AZBE, an AT-6C c/n 88-13399, serial 41-33726. It went to the RAF as EX753 and in 1953 to the Belgian Air Force as H-210. It was armed and used in the Belgian Congo, where it was shot down near the bridge of Inkisi on 17 July 1960. Repaint by Jan Kees Blom, based on the paintkit by A2A.

It came to Sweden in 1947, becoming 16073, and flying with F16, based in Uppsala till 1969. It ten went on the civil register as SE-FVU. It is still airworthy, flying with the Västgöta veteranflygförening, based in Satenäs. Repaint by Jan Kees Blom, based on the paintkit by A2A.

It came to Sweden in 1947, becoming 16065, and flew with F10 in Ängelholm, till 1971. It was the only aircraft with F10 to carry the Snoopy noseart.
