File Description:
This is new version of EPML airport scenery for FSX. Main features of the scenery are: Airport ground high resolution textures - (four seasons + night textures); Highly detailed 3D objects, all photo textured; Detailed autogen and photorealistic trees. For more details please look at the README file attached to the scenery file.
EPML is home base of PZL-Mielec (Polskie Zaklady Lotnicze - Polish Aviation Works), formerly WSK-Mielec and WSK "PZL-Mielec" is the Polish aerospace manufacturer, based in Mielec. It has been the biggest Polish post-war aerospace manufacturer. In 2007 it was acquired by Sikorsky Aircraft Corporation, retaining the brand. Starting from 1950, the factory developed much and became the biggest Polish aircraft producer. It was a licensed producer of the Soviet jet fighters MiG-15 (produced as Lim-1), MiG-15bis (Lim-2), MiG-17 (Lim-5) and its Polish attack variant, Lim-6. The first Lim-1s were manufactured of Soviet parts in 1952, a full-scale production started in 1953. About 1500 Lims were built by 1964. In 1957-1960 there were also produced 250 Polish-designed piston trainers TS-8 Bies. From 1963 there was produced Polish-designed jet trainer TS-11 Iskra, being a basic trainer in the Polish military aviation. Its successor, designed with a part of PZL-Mielec, the PZL I-22 Iryda, appeared however a failure for different reasons, mostly lack of proper funding, and only a small series was built.
The most numerous plane built in Mielec was the licensed Soviet Antonov An-2 utility biplane, produced from 1960 in different variants. Over 13,000 of these aircraft were manufactured by 1991, mostly on the Soviet order, but also used in Poland and exported to other countries. From 1984 PZL-Mielec manufactured Soviet STOL transport planes Antonov An-28, as its only producer in the world. The plane was subsequently developed in Mielec and in a modernized variant PZL M-28 Skytruck/Bryza is offered for the Polish Army, Polish Navy and services abroad, with some success.

File Description:
The Project Opensky Boeing 747V4 Classic Series PBR Native Conversion for P3DV4 and V5 is a newly updated conversion of the old top-hit freeware add-on aircraft series that is known to the Flight Simulation Community since FS2002, FS2004, and onwards to FSX and has been loved by thousands of Flight-simmers across the world because of its simple-but-great model, and completely free of charge. But with newer flight simulators on the line under the ESP Flight Simulator Type such as Lockheed Martin Prepar3DV4 and V5, the Project Opensky Boeing 747V4 Classic Series (which was only made for FS9) were slowly falling behind and couldn’t keep up with the current flight simulators today. And now, for the first time in 2022; this newly-updated conversion has surfaced to the public and in the eyes of the flight simulation community. Destined to fly in the current flight simulators of today like Prepar3D V4 and Prepar3D V5, this classic freeware had continued to live on into the new era, bringing nostalgia not only just to those who flown it before in FS2004, but also for a new generation who can relive classic scenes of the Jumbo Jet’s illustrious history through this iconic freeware add-on aircraft series in today’s flight simulator platforms. It finally received an all new makeover! And the permission to convert the models was acquired from the developer who was the mind of the POSKY 747V4 Classic Series: Hiroshi Igami. And he gave our conversion team the green light to do so. Leading to this conversion to surface in the public for the first time. Follow the instructions in the Readme txt file. Images related to this file:
File Description:
The VC-25A is a modified Boeing 747-200F used as a dignitary transport by the Air Mobility Command's 89th Airlift Wing, Andrews Air Force Base (KADF), Maryland. There are two twin sister aircraft with tail numbers 28000 and 29000. Both are used by the President of the United States (POTUS) and the First Lady of the United States (FLOTUS) and as a dignitary transport for high level personnel for special missions. When carrying the President, the call-sign is “Air Force Oneâ€, but otherwise uses a variety of call-signs when the President is not on-board. Each sister aircraft is nearly identical to the other, with all of the same accommodations. One can fly as a “Mask†when the President is on-board the other.
The aircraft is modified with many secret aspects, and is heavier at Empty Weight than a normal 747-200F because of this. However, she normally only carries 102 souls on board with enough supplies to last for any long range flight, so she operates at a lower weight than the normal 747-200F. Due to the fortifications employed within the design, her MTOW is lower, as well. The engines are a bit more powerful than normal, and have better fuel efficiency. She has specialized equipment on-board for communications, a weather/recon radar dome (not shown in this paint scheme), and missile/aircraft countermeasures if needed. The interior is almost silent due to the high pressure cabin structure and fortified frame, including bullet-proof windows.
With all of the above, she is still the most powerful, efficient, and the fastest 747 ever built.

| Chas mod of Stearmandriver RNP RNAV Approach into PAJN Rwy 26 for 737NGX |

File Description:
Modded StearmanDriver(SD) RNP RNAV Rwy 26 into PAJN, Juneau, Alaska. SD gave us a cool little route that while not LATLONG nor Fixname accurate, it couldn't be without legal and occupational liabilities...and it worked, but if you look at his FixNames and the LATLONG from the PAJN.txt file for the 737 NGX...it did work pretty nicely...at least as nicely as the charted RNAV course into Rwy 8. So I created my own procedure LATLONG rightly or wrongly in a multi-step procedure as follows:
1. I took the raw info provided by SD and flew to each of his waypoints,(if you look, almost all of his FIXs were rounded off...to avoid company or legal problems) noting safe altitude, starting out at 7000ft, creating user waypoints in my GTN750, looking around for first, vertical, then horizontal safety...keeping in mind that Ultimately...I would not be using this data for my Duke, but for the Procedure page of my PMDG 737 NGX..which you already saw me fly with SD's fixes.
2. I took my Turbine Duke up and noted the REAL LATLONG as reported by slewing and world map...transposed those numbers into the format that PMDG's procedures needed DDD.mm fractional minutes. I converted using http://www.directionsmag.com/site/latlong-converter/
3.I created my own mid-point user waypoints from the west CHRTRN,and the NNE CHRTS so we could have approaches from those directions.
4. I put my Duke into autopilot, knowing the lateral info...my flightplan was correct, but I would have to handle the Vnav manually. Turns out its rather manageable with the following info: CHRTRN 5000FT - MARMN 3500FT - TRDWL 2500FT - SALMN 1500 - LEMNN 500 - PAJN5 50
My MOD OF SDs RNP RNAV PAJNRwy 26, will be up on Avsim as ChasModRNP RNAV PAJN Rwy 26.zip

| Boeing B-17G 91st BG (LL-E) "Shoo shoo shoo baby" |

File Description:
This folder contains a repaint for the A2A WoP2 B-17G in the colors B-17G-35-BO 42-32076, which rolled off Boeing's production line in Seattle in march 1944. This was around the transition from camouflaged to bare metal aircraft, which led to the odd situation that the datablock was stencilled onto a OD panel, while the rest of the aircraft was left bare metal. This was because the datablock was sprayed on right at the beginning of production. The aircraft was assigned to the 401st BS of the 91st BG, and was collected at the depot in Burtonwood by Paul McDuffee, who was so impressed with its smooth handling that he asked to be assigned to it. The aircraft was named by its crew chief, Hank Cordes, and was named after a popular song by the Andrews Sisters. Originally, the name was 'Shoo shoo baby', applied in gothic letters, which was later replaced by a Vargas girl and an additional 'shoo', painted by Cpl. Tony Starcer. McDuffee flew 13 missions with 076, before completing his tour of duty. On completion of his last flight, he buzzed the airfield and flew so low that fencing wire became entangled in the tail wheel. On the plane's 23rd mission, on 29 may 1944, Lt. Robert Guenther was flying 076 on a raid to Poznan when he suffered engine failure on one engine, and a while later, flak knocked out a second engine. 'Shoo shoo shoo baby' started to fall behind, and when a third engine started to falter, Lt Guenther decided to turn to neutral Sweden, with the crew jettisoning all loose equipment. A group of FW190's closed in, but did not open fire, peeling away. By the time 076 reached Bulltofta airfield near Malmö, it had only one engine left, but it did manage to perform a safe landing. The crew were interned, and the aircraft was impounded. The crew returned to the UK in October 1944, and 'Shoo shoo shoo baby' would later tour the world...

| Boeing 787-8XLR Qantas |

File Description:
Qantas is requesting proposals (Dec 2018) for design of an aircraft model or variation that is capable of non-stop flights over 10,000 nm for YSSY to EGLL and/or YPPH to KDFW and return service routes. This model is the best choice for Boeing based on real world data. The Boeing 787-8XLR "Dreamcruiser" will have a maximum range of 13,600 nm at FL450E (Mach .83) which will give her more than the desired capabilities, and will be the very efficient. This model (B788XLR) is based on the current 787-8 using weight modifications to increase the range without adding additional fuel tanks, and designed for luxury/comfort with only 161 paid passengers on board. Everything in this model is realistic to the best of my abilities. If Boeing creates this model, it will likely be very similar to this. The name is my own invention, as are all of the weight characteristics. Based on all of my extensive testing, there is no other aircraft capable of these requirements, to date. The 787-800 is certainly the right choice for Qantas if Boeing decides they will modify the original model to fit these requirements. In reality, there is no such aircraft as a 787-8XLR Dreamcruiser. Not yet, anyway. My data shows the aircraft is capable of long-range non-stop flights over 13,000 nm east or west at Mach .82 and above FL435. However, this can only be done by lowering the empty weight and using the full fuel capabilities designed within the original model. This simple modification cuts the total souls on board down to 176, with 161 paid passengers, 11 flight attendants, and 4 pilots in two shifts. Full fuel can now be used in all long-range flights which is actually not common for most 787-800s in service today (Fuel Managed). Ramp and MTOW remain the same, but because she flies higher than normal, and has less weight, she can cruise much further than any other 787. In reality, this is what the 787 was originally designed to do.

| B-52J |

Images related to this file:
File Description:
Since it became operational in 1955, the B-52 has been the main long-range heavy bomber of the U.S. Air Force. It first flew on Apr. 15, 1952. Nearly 750 B-52s were built when production ended in Oct. 1963. This "J" model is the future re-engined "h" model 60-0042 of the 917th Wing AFRC based at Barksdale AFB (KBAD). She flies higher, further, and faster than any previous version. The aircraft can cruise at 380 KIAS at 500 ft agl over about 5,000 nm which makes her capable of reaching targets within enemy airspace anywhere on the globe without being detected by radar until it's too late. Her normal high altitude cruise speed has been increased to Mach .88 above FL550E over 9,000 nm without refueling, and her service ceiling has increased to FL570E. The 50,000 lb payload is still nominal, but due to the lighter engines she now has more accomidations for the crew, and does not require refueling very often. She can range much further with less speed (i.e., Mach .85), but there is normally no need for that. This aircraft is designed to fly like the real thing. It is likely one of the best B-52 models available at this time. I have test-flown this aircraft around the globe several times to reassure myself that all is well. You will not have a bouncing effect occur when cruising with 16x speed acceleration and autopilot engaged because all aerodynamics and balance are perfected to a very low margin of error, or no error margin at all. Please be sure to read the INSTRUCT.TXT file for extended details. | Ansaldo S.V.A.-5 (V.01) |
|
Images related to this file:
File Description:
One of the faster airplane of WWI thanks to an innovative design, the S.V.A. was the first airplane conceived and built entirely in Italy. The initials "S.V.A." stand for the names of Savoia and Verduzio, the two engineers that designed it, and of Ansaldo, the firm that built over 2000 of them starting from 1917. The Ansaldo S.V.A. was an entire family of Italian reconnaissance biplane aircraft of World War I and the decade after. Originally conceived as a fighter, the S.V.A. was found inadequate for that role. Nevertheless, its impressive speed, range and operational ceiling made it an excellent reconnaissance aircraft and even light bomber.
The S.V.A. became legendary among pilots for some of its memorable flights; first, above all, the one over Vienna: this flight was an epic action performed by Italian poet and nationalist patriot Gabriele D'Annunzio on 9th August 1918. After the war, thanks to the strong determination of Arturo Ferrarin and Guido Masiero( the pilots), two S.V.A.9s (the two seater version of the S.V.A.-5) flew for 18000Km from Rome to Tokyo (14th February / 31st May 1920). Another S.V.A., piloted by Antonio Locatelli, first flew alone across the Andes (30th July 1919).
Production of the aircraft continued well after the war, with the final examples delivered in 1928. In 1919 some S.V.A.s were used in airmail routes by "Gruppo Sperimentale Comunicazioni Aeree", a group formed by the Italian Army in order to prove the feasibility of commercial air services. The Regia Aeronautica (Royal Italian Air Force, since 1923) employed the S.V.A. in operational units in Italy and North Africa (Lybia) as well as for pilot training. Many war-surplus planes were employed by commercial flying schools.
Complete aircraft, 5 Different Hi-Res GMax models (5 different versions, three S.V.A.-5 and two S.V.A.-9), features the usual moving parts, such as all flight controls. Five different liveries (three WWI and two post-war). VC and 2D Panel. Models, panels and paints by Manuele Villa, Flight dynamics, Handling notes and tutorials by FSAviator.
