Hopping Round the World Adventure - Pack 51

File Description:
We make stops in Reunion, Madagascar (2), Comoros, Tanzania (2), Kenya, Somalia (2) and Yemen. The only newbie to this pack is the HJG Convair 990A. On the 6th leg you will experience some nice chops the entire flight. Later, Mach along the African continent in clear blue skies using the YF23A. On the 9th leg, look for the lone thunderstorm brewing over the ocean on the left side. The 757 brings this pack to a close.

File Description:
We make stops in Oman (2), Iran, Pakistan (3) and India (4). Another test for HRW pilots: Speed brake down the mountain in a Learjet. Nice scenery while flying over Pakistan and India. The shortest runway so far in this adventure: 535ft. Can you takeoff? Don’t even try! Keep your King Air in one piece.

File Description:
We make stops in India (7), Maldives and Sri Lanka (2). The only newbie to this pack is the FSFrance Project Mach2 Concorde. What a thrill flying this classic sleek bird up to 60,000ft. The Lear45 has a tough time taking off on the gravel runway but I know you can make it on the first leg. Some good chops as you ride past many thunderheads. So far, 537 takeoffs/landings and 96,937 miles flown.

We make stops in India (5), Bangladesh, Bhutan and China (3). The only newbie to this pack is the HJG Boeing 720. Is leg 0549 the hardest leg in the HRW? You decide! Fly the A319 into a high altitude landing that is very steep and requires every ounce of skill you possess. Don’t miss the volcanic lake on the mountaintop. The scenery is absolutely stunning. File Description:
We make stops in Kenya, Rwanda, Burundi, Congo (DRC) (4), Cameroon, Chad and Sudan. The first rain shower in Africa kick things off. We are now at the halfway mark in the Hopping Round the World Adventure since starting on August 3, 2003. 9 months have passed and 74,492 packs downloaded to date. 48 aircraft types, 427 takeoffs/landings and 69,856 miles flown so far. The upcoming packs take us back up towards Italy, the UK, France and Spain. Who can believe it? It’s now spring.

We have 8 takeoffs in the Philippines, 1 in Taiwan and 1 in Hong Kong. What a fun ride into Manila! Still haven’t seen any jeepneys. Can you land safely at high altitude in Baguio while fighting severe cross winds in less than ideal conditions? Enjoy downtown Hong Kong in the distance before taking off and heading over the mountain and down for a steep landing in your Cessna. So far, 697 takeoffs/landings and 131,406 miles flown!

We make stops in the Fiji Islands (4), Tonga (2), Niue, American Samoa, Samoa and Cook Islands. We are experiencing island hopping in the South Pacific. The scenery is just soothing to the senses. From there it’s onto Taiwan, China, Japan, Russia, Alaska, and Canada then back to the United States on our way to the finish line of the HRW Adventure 2004 in Chicago. 677 takeoffs/landings and 129,158 miles flown so far!

We make stops in Micronesia (5), Northern Mariana Islands (3), Guam and Indonesia. Some rain greets us on the second leg. Most accidents happen at night – I wonder why?
