No Cal Cloud Sheets |
![]() |
File Description:
This is a basic weather theme created using the SDK weather theme generator. It is based on real weather I encountered while flying near Ukiah, California in late October 2004. Hence the title "No Cal" for "Northern California." Cloud sheets are low, and under the clouds you will find rain. Above the cloud sheets you will find sun. The variety is fun, but the reason I'm uploading it is that it's very easy on framerates. Good for moody, atmospheric flights when the real weather doesn't suit you, or when the clouds are so menacing your framerates suffer. Hence the title "No Cal" for "No Calories."

MeatWater Flight1 Super 80 Weather Radar Mod |
![]() |
File Description:
The stock weather radar supplied with the Flight1/Coolsky Super 80 is not functional and displays only a dummy radar image - look good, but isn't really useful. This mod will equip the Super 80 with a fully functional weather radar by replacing the stock gauge with the RealityXP WXR500 gauge. The new weather radar features a seamingless integration meaning that it will use the framing of the stock gauge preserving the realistic look of the panel. Hidden clickspots that appear whenever the mousepointer hovers above the gauge provide full functionality. Installation is easy and requires just a few manual edits to the panel.cfg file

X-METAR 0.9.1: Metar Real-World Weather |
![]() |
File Description:
X-METAR is a small tool which I wrote because X-Plane (and FLY as well?) both do not support regular METAR-file download or METAR-station update.
There is software like that but it didn't fit for me (i.e. no cycle-file support, no internet sources for customized METAR-files which cover non-US etc.)
To be able to fly in the most actual "real weather", X-METAR downloads the two most recent cyclic METAR-files from NOAA, merges them, sorts them and deletes double or old entries. As a result you have the most actual metar.rwx that you can get.
Allways the two most actual cycle-files are downloaded.
X-METAR should be self explaining. Just select the interval for the update.
Press the start-button to quick-launch x-plane.
Have fun.

Throw Weather In FS (TWIFS) - Version 3.0 |
![]() |
File Description:
Throw Weather In FS (TWIFS) has been redesigned to look more compacted. Furthermore, in this Version (3.0) some features of the previous one have been expanded.
It may be used with FS2000 or FS2002. By this application you can edit planned Routes from FS200X folder, download Metars and Upper Air Wind (Radiosonde observation) and evaluate forecast meteo to be used for the planned Routes.
Once connected to FS, it is possible to reproduce the downloaded weather as a mix between two Metars and monitor some flight parameters.
The application may be used for free flights too.
Version 3.0 developed under Visual Basic (everything in Setup) and tested on Win98 and WinXP. Fully freeware.

METAR Update Of The METAR Weather Program |
![]() |
File Description:
Update of the Free METAR program with new features and bug's corrected.
New features:
1. I improved the temperature aloft settings. This also should give better cloud settings, esp. the cloud high is now computed out of temperature and other data.
2. No more 'weather update' messages
3. If the needed stations files not there, the program shouldn't crash anymore
4. The .reg file shouldn't be needed anymore
5. Both free METAR and WindsAloft Servers are used. To save time, the Server with the smaller files is used first. Only if this server failed the other is used.
6. The choice to get METAR text message of the nearest airport in FS9 is implemented. The message is updated every time the FS2k4METAR program updates the weather.
