Choctaw NOLF (KNFJ) Download

File Description:
One of several Naval Outlying Landing Fields (NOLF's) in the Pensacola area, Choctaw NOLF is currently the only NOLF capable of supporting the newest US Navy primary training aircraft, the T-6B Texan II. Choctaw NOLF is located in Milton, FL just 13nm South of NAS Whiting Field. Designed for FSX, Choctaw NOLF features working IFLOLS trailers designed by Sylvain Parouty. The trailers have a functioning "meatball" to help with Field Carrier Landing Practice. Buildings and other objects were placed using default FSX objects as well as a couple of add-on libraries. You will need rwy_mark.zip by Lance Tucker and fsx_lts.zip by Jim Dhaenens. Both files are available at flightsim.com. View the readme file for more info and acknowledgments. The goal of this scenery is the same as in the real world...to provide a secondary landing field for Virtual Student Naval Aviators to practice pattern work, touch and go's, and Carrier Landing Practice. It's a great place for your FSX T-6A or T-34C!

"Oakland NAS" North American SNJ-5 (G-CHIA) Download

Images related to this file:

File Description:
This is a repaint for the payware A2A Simulations AT-6 Texan. This repaint depicts the restored SNJ-5 BuNo. 85061, registered as G-CHIA, based at White Waltham airfield in the UK. This aircraft originally served in the US Navy from 1945 until 1954, at which time it was one of 12 SNJ's loaned to the then newly formed Japanese Maritime Self Defense Force. In 1977, the aircraft was returned to the US Navy and it was subsequently sold into the civilian market, becoming N9012Y in early 1979. By 1984 the aircraft was restored, painted in the markings of an early 1950's Oakland NAS based SNJ. After changing hands/locations a couple of times while still in the US, first to Corvallis, OR in 1997, and then later to Skagit Regional Airport north of Seattle in 2001, the aircraft was sold to the UK-based The Warplane Flying Co., first flying from Duxford, England in November 2012.

Beechcraft V35B Bonanza (VH-CAE) Download

Images related to this file:

File Description:
This folder contains a repaint for the A2A Beechcraft V35 Bonanza in the colors of VH-CAE. From 1964, Australia's Departtment of Civil Aviation (DCA) purchased five current model Beechcraft Bonanzas - three V35s, an S35 and an A36 model. They were purchased at a cost of A$41,000 each, as part of a policy to operate modern production light aircraft. VH-CAE (c/n D-8358) was the second of DCA's Bonanzas and was registered new on 15 June 1967. This VH-CAE was actually the second DCA aircraft to carry those marks, the previous being a Tiger Moth. Along with the other DCA Bonanzas, VH-CAE was sold. It was re-registered from the DCA to Leslie Carter of Glenbrook, NSW, on 12 June 1992. It later changed hands and spent some time in Coonabarabran, NSW, before moving in June 2007 to Mundaring, WA. Repaint by Jan Kees Blom, based on the paintkit by A2A.

"Navy Pensacola SNJ" North American AT-6 (VH-NZH) Download

Images related to this file:

File Description:
This is a repaint for the payware A2A Simulations AT-6 Texan. This repaint depicts AT-6C/Harvard Mk.IIa VH-NZH, owned/operated by Judy Pay, based at Tyabb Airfield in Australia. This aircraft originated as part of the USAAF contract for AT-6C's and was initially assigned the USAAF serial no. 41-33767, but was completed to a British order as Harvard Mk.IIa EX794. The aircraft was then passed to the Royal New Zealand Air Force, arriving in New Zealand in July 1943, and assigned the RNZAF serial NZ1051. The aircraft remained in the possession of the RNZAF until 1978, but was retired/put into storage as of 1962. The aircraft was acquired in 1978 by a Mr. Nortier of Auckland, NZ, who housed the aircraft until Judy Pay (one of the longtime leading lights of the Australian warbird movement) acquired it in 2001. The aircraft first took the skies again in 2004, following restoration, and is finished in the markings of a 1941-era Pensacola-based SNJ-3.

Project Airlift (Aardvark) 757-200 R-R Royal New Zealand Air Force No. 40 Squadron #0 Download

File Description:
In May 2003, the Royal New Zealand Air Force took delivery of a "pre-owned" United 757-200. In a few more months, the RNZAF will take delivery a second (and presumably final) 757-200. They will provide Defence and Government with transport services that were formerly provided by 727-200s. They will be later modified with cargo doors and additional fuel tanks to extend their range and capabilities. This RNZAF paint was provided by Cees Melieste for Project Airlift. The entire file (.mdl + .air) is present, so no need to cut n' paste files and figure out what [fltsim.x] et cetera to use. Get the NZAF AFCADs and the No. 40 flightplans at Avsim.com.
