File Description:
This panel has been modified by Ricardo Jones, who added a sunshield, minicontrol, fuel gauges, and changed a mini-radio to a modern-like radio. I also made modifications because the flap position and the throttle on the throttle quadrant was removed, the gear lever and cowl flap control are changed into a combined control on a DC-3 floor panel. This panel is now better to use than the original B-25 panel(FSX Compatable). Enjoy!

These sounds are the best that we have been able to compile and are accurate as of release date and to the extent that our data and the limitations of the EditVoicepack allow. of the Vietnam era in 3 versions for scenery
designers - With sail up, with sail furled
and with no mast or sail as when powered by
a small inboard motor. This ancient design
has been in use for centuries for fishing
and for transport of goods and people on
rivers and ocean waters alike. It was used
by the Viet Cong during the Vietnam war to
move war material and men on the rivers of
the country and was one of the main targets
of the Military Police river and coastal
interdiction efforts.

| Dak Seang Airfield Special Forces Camp |

File Description:
A model of Dak Seang Airfield / Special Forces Camp. This primitive outpost was located high in the mountains near the Cambodian border, about 15 km north of Ben Het. It was widely regarded as the most remote and vulnerable Special Forces camp in South Vietnam. It was frequently attacked by the NVA and Viet Cong. The name Dak Seang means "river of blood." The 1,400' clay runway at Dak Seang was suitable only for helicopters, C-7 Caribous, and other short-field capable aircraft. In November 1970, Dak Seang was turned over to the ARVN Rangers.

These files are a recommended upgrade for the following repaints of Jan Visser's aircraft by Mark Beaumont: C-47 41-18385 (1942), C-47 Dakota RAF (2), AA 'Flagship Knoxville', Air Queensland VH-MAL, Bush Pilots Airways VH-MAL, Air Viet Nam, Airlines of NSW VH-ANR, Ansett MAL VH-MAL, Ansett PNG VH-MAL, Bahamas Airways, BBA VH-BAB, BOAC G-AGHE, Cathay Pacific 'Betsy' (3 variants), Cathay Pacific 'Nikki', Dan-Air G-AMPP, Delta Air Lines 'Ship 41', Lambair, Swiss Air Lines. Includes a more appropriate airfile (a Visser original, upgraded for FS2002) and modified AIRCRAFT.CFG file for all versions. Any further repaints will ship with these new files. Also includes select minor texture improvements. Packaged by Curt Yardey and Mark Beaumont.

The Ilyushin Il-18 is a four turboprop engined passenger aircraft for medium-long range. The first Kuznetsov NK4 powered flight was on 4 Jul 1957 from Moscow-Khodynka airport, the first Ivchenko AI-20 powered flight on 17 Sep 1958. This plane was produced in series for 12 years and achieved great popularity due to the favourable load factor. The main operator was Aeroflot, but the IL-18 proved a popular plane with airlines behind the former "Iron Curtain". In view of possible peace negotiations during the war in Vietnam, the North Vietnamese leadership was in need of a long-haul VIP transport aircraft. The Soviet Union delivered an IL-18D Salon in 1968 registered 195 to the Democratic Republic of Vietnam as an "80th Birthday present" for President Ho Chi Minh. A bit early perhaps since he was born on 19 May 1890; he died at the age of 79. For a while the aircraft displayed on both sides of the nose the call sign BH-195; BH stood for Bac Ho (= Uncle Ho) and 195 stood for his Birthday. The VIP IL-18D was re-registered VN-B195 in 1973. In August 1976 she was transferred to Hang Khong Viet Nam though still wearing the original pre-1973 "Aeroflot style" cheatline. The last landing of this IL-18D Salon was on 15 Dec 1989 at Hanoi after which she was written from use. The registration was cancelled on 31 Dec 1989. The aircraft has been scrapped since.
