BKS Viscount 806 (Leased from BEA)

File Description:
BKS leased Viscount 806 aircraft from BEA in the mid sixties with just a minimal livery change. In fact the BEA lettering was not even removed from under the BKS logo. Shown here is G-APOX which has a claim to fame as being BEA's seventieth and final factory delivered Viscount. Not only was it the last 806, it was also the first. The aircraft was a rebuild of G-AOYF that was damaged beyond repair in a heavy landing in Johannesburg while on a Vickers demonstration tour. Requires the FSDS Viscount 800 model by Rick Piper.

Viscount 814 Intra Airways

File Description:
An early expansion saw Intra Airways of Jersey operating Viscount 810 and a single 700. This machine series 814 G-BAPE came from British Midland who had earlier leased it to British Airways. Originally it belonged to Lufthansa. Classic Panel for the Vickers Viscount 800 series for FS2002. A brand new panel for the viscount, designed to have as much old character as possible. Still very much a work in progress on-going project, but this version is fully functional. Features 9 separate windows including GPS. Tested down to 800X600 resolution on a P3 500. British United early Viscount 804 G-AOXV

File Description:
Transair Viscount 804 G-AOXV wore this livery in the very early days of British United before adopting the familiar dark blue and flag livery. The series 804 aircraft were sold to LOT Polish Airlines, this one becomming SP-LVA in November 1962. It was written off with LOT in August 1965. Requires the FSDS Viscount 800 model by Rick Piper.

Cambrian First Viscount

File Description:
One of Cambrians first batch of Viscounts bought from BEA G-AMOL was the fourth to enter service. Purchased on 1-April 1963 its career was cut short when on 20-July 1965 it went out of control and crashed on the approach to Liverpool in poor weather whilst operating a freight flight. Icelandair Viscount 759

File Description:
After the expected work in trooping contracts failed to materialise, Hunting Clan found themselves with two brand new delivered Viscounts and no work for them. Icelandair bought them and the pair worked extensively for the airline throughtout its network. However this one TF-ISN found itself alone after TF-ISU was destroyed in an icing related crash in April 1963. It was withdrawn and scrapped in 1970. Viscount Northeast Airlines

File Description:
Deliverved to Northeast in January 1959 N6598C served until September 1963 when it has to be returned due to financing problems, it went on to enjoy a long and varied career as an executive transport and airliner before crashing in July 1992 a month after becomming XA-SCM with Aero Eslava. Viscount 785 LAI

File Description:
Linee Aeree Italiane ordered six later increased to ten V.785D's. Delivered in 1957 only the first six were delivered before a merger with Aerlinee Italiene Internazionali formed the present day Alitalia the remaining four were delivered direct to Alitalia. A number of ex capital V745 were purchased along with two ex Northeast V798's joining the very busy fleet. The type served until 1971 with the loss of only one machine. Viscount Polar Airways

File Description:
Many short term leases saw BAF Viscounts flyng in basic livery with the operators titles. G-AOHT was one of two leased during the winter of 1982/3 to Polar Airways of Teeside. Canarias Viscount 806

File Description:
One of two operated by Lineas Aereas Canarias in the mid 1980's before being withdrawn and stored for many years. Sold to them by BAF the airline considered buying them back when they were first withdrawn but severe corrosion made it uneconomic.Requires the FSDS Viscount 800 model by Rick Piper.
