Viscount Airwork Ltd. 1959

File Description:
A long establish company, Airwork became one of the main constituants of British United Airways. G-APND gleams in this simple but smart livery. The 831 was unusual in being an 810 series but having the wider front door of the 800. The Viscounts were used to replace Vikings mainly on the "Colonioal coach"/Safari route to central Africa. SkyBus NZ Viscount 802

File Description:
Fledgling New Zealand carrier Skybus leased V.802 G-AOHT from BAF. After a repaint retaining earlier owners British Airways dark blue bottom and the "HT" on the nose wheel doors it left on the long flight to its new home. Barely was the paint dry when it was back in the UK after SkyBus failed, It was restored to its UK marks for further service with BAF and Virgin. Requires the FSDS Viscount 800 model by Rick Piper.

Sudan Blue Nile Viscount

File Description:
Airwork of London leased this brand new to Sudan Airways. It was delivered straight from the factory in the Blue Nile livery. It came back to the UK as G-ASED. Requires the FSDS Viscount 800 model by Rick Piper.

Hot Air Viscount 814

File Description:
One of a pair of Hot Air Viscounts, this original Lufthansa aircraft became a long term British Midland fleetmember before serving with Hot Air. It became a fire and Rescue trainer at Morteton in Marsh. Requires the FSDS Viscount 800 model by Rick Piper.

Philippine Airlines Viscount 784

File Description:
This was the first of two aircraft ordered in April 1956. Later supplemented by two additional machines the four served mainly domestic services until 1967. After one had been sold in 1965 to Alitalia the three remaning aircraft joined Falcon Air of Sweden. Requires the FSDS Viscount 700 model by Rick Piper

Viscount 807 NZNAC 1958

File Description:
The only V800 Viscounts built with radar the New Zealand National Airways Corporations fleet is represented here by ZK-BRE "City of Auckland". The aircraft is shown here in its original, delivery livery. The middle of three delivered in 1958 it was originally planned to reduce seating and increase freight but so successful were they that seating was actually increased. Requires the FSDS Viscount 800 model by Rick Piper.

Viscount 745 ETPS Early

File Description:
The Empire Test Pilots School operated this ex Capital V.745 alongside a V.744 machine. It is shown here in its earlier livery when newly delivered. The pair served for ten years then sold to Shackleton Aviation at Coventry where both were broken up. Requires the FSDS Viscount 700 model by Rick Piper

Alidair Viscount 812 N501TL

File Description:
Originally built for Continental Airlines as their first V.812 N240V it was sold in 1960 for executive use with Tennessee Gas Transportation. Bought by Alidair in October 1975 it was leased to Cyprus Airways in March the following year. Two months later and it was off to the Far East where it was to be leased to Mandala. By the end of the year it was with Far Eastern Air Transport. It was written off in a crash near Jakarta in August 1980 flying for Bouraq. Requires the FSDS Viscount 800 model by Rick Piper.

Kuwait Airways Viscount 776

File Description:
Although not the only Viscount operated by Kuwait Airways this was the only one registered in Kuwait. Built as a 745 from the batch of cancelled Capital Airlines machines it served on lease with Aer Lingus and BEA before being converted to type 776. After service in Kuwait it ended its days flying with BKS as G-APNF and was withdrawn in April 1970 at Newcastle being destroyed in fire practice shortly afterwards. Requires the FSDS Viscount 700 model by Rick Piper.
