FS2004 MV challenge - Nepal highlands 2. Pilot a dozen flights in a Twin Otter aircraft through Nepal, ideal territory for STOL (short take-off and landing) operations. Use short airstrips in tight deep valleys, and visit the world's highest mountains. The challenge includes bad weather, poor visibility, and limited navaids: many of the landings are quite difficult. Canadian Boeing 767-375ER 'Proudwings'

File Description:
AI Aardvark This aircraft was designed specifically for use as an AI aircraft. As such, the primary design criteria were that it look good sitting at the gate, or as seen when landing from an aircraft waiting to take off. This plane also uses 6 different LOD (levels of detail) models, which means that as the plane gets visually smaller, the model displayed becomes simpler and simpler, thus reducing the drag on your computer.

Selva00.. A WW2 Defence Airfield

File Description:
MPBA is again becoming a known airfield now that "Beefy" Raphael has opened a hunting lodge near it. During WW2 it was home to Squadron 34 with its sleek P-39´s as part of the Panama Canal defences. As time passed the jungle covered most of it and a ravine opened up crossing it almost at the middle. If you fly there with some hunters Beefy will be in the observation tower waving with his photographer who will take some pics of you and hunters. You should take off from MPTO for a nice 30 min flight...... (Now that the rainy season has arrived try the flight in Real weather for some excitement....)

DGLA Wa, Ghana

File Description:
Yet another totally obscure Googlyafcad A&F Data file - for Wa, based on Google Earth satellite data. Wa is Wa? Wa is a minor domestic airport in Ghana with very limited facilities. For limited, read virtually nil. There is no ramp - aircraft just pull off the runway near a disused piece of roadway for passengers to board and disembark. Unfortunately, Microsoft have provided no facilities in Flight Simulator 2004 at this airport (which as far as I can establish does not at present see commercial flights although it did at one time) and this file will allow you and your "AI" traffic to land, taxi, park and take off in a realistic manner.

TR727_Gauge_Update.zip

File Description:
This is an engine gauge(xml gauge)update for Thomas Ruth's new 727 model for FSX (tom7271.zip ). The gauge update changes the N1, N2, & EGT engine gauge calibration to reflect gauge readings within the normal and maximum ranges at TOGA(Take Off/Go-Around),MCT(Maximum Continuous thrust), and Cruise thrust settings. The original gauge readings at higher throttle settings indicated high off-scale for N1, N2, and especially EGT. The new gauge/thrust ratios may not perfectly reflect real 727 JT-8D engine settings in sim but the intent was to limit the maximum ranges. Thanks to Thomas Ruth for making such an excellent 727 freeware model for FSX and giving permission for posting this small update.

British Aerospace 146 / Avro RJ Runway Performance Calculator

File Description:
This file is an Open Office Calc spreadsheet which calculates the runway performance required by the BAe146 / Avro RJ family of aircraft. The user is required to enter the passenger numbers, freight and fuel figures in kg, and the departure and destination airfield data and weather. The spreadsheet will calculate the required runway TODA and LDA distances in meters and provide an FSX/P3D fuel and payload table to be copied into the simulator. Note. the figures supplied are based on published British Aerospace data, but not taken from actual performance documents. If entering pressure in inches then leave MB as zero to obtain the correct calculation. The landing weight calculations are based on the take off weight and estimated fuel burn. To obtain a more accurate calculation then add the TOD fuel weight in the box provided. Weights in kgs and runway data in meters.

File Description: This file contains a spreadsheet template in OpenDocument format to prepare your flight ! Prepare your route, then, using planning tables and filling the fuel and weight form, prepare your payload estimation in this document. A copy of some tables (weights and limitations) for the B737 NG are embedded. A fuel calculator is also embbeded. It will provide automatic fuel load suggestion for each flight once you have completed your flight level and time of flight (based on linear interpolation of a real world flight planning table). Of course you can erase any suggestion with your own value. When it is done, go to the dispatcher briefing tab. Sign it to complete it automatically with some captain notes. In the end, export the dispatcher briefing as a selection in PDF if you wish. Fully reliable when used with your aircraft tables, this document uses the fuel planning methodology described in a PMDG manual and has been validated against a real B737-800 dispatcher briefing. The file contains two templates with automatic fuel load calculation (one for the 737NG, the other for the 757) and two templates without the linear interpolation module (for the Avro RJ and for the B727).
