File Description:
Accurate rendition of the KSAT airport. Includes accuarate gate numbering and locations for all airlines serving the airport as well as assigned cargo areas and parking for general aviation aircraft. This is my continuing series of doing airports that have been neglected by both MS and the community. Hopefully this will enhance flying into this airport for those of you that frequent it. Terminal space was mostly satisfactory even though not shaped correctly in some instances. Every gate, however, is present and correctly numbered and airlines assigned to the right gates based on the SAT airport website. American and Southwest seem to be the dominant carriers to this airport both offering extensive intra Texas service. I will be continuing to do mid sized aiports accross the US and then probably do some updates to my original Central America and Caribbean afcads. One for the St. Thomas airport in the US Virgin Islands should be up within 24 hours as well. Enjoy flying Texas!

File Description:
Few people realize that Santa Monica Airport, where the venerable Douglas DC-3 first flew on 17th December 1935, was named after Santa Klaus and his wife Monica. The Man In Red was quick to spot the benefits of undertaking his yearly mission in a mode of transportation ideally suited to the task, and was one of Douglas' first customers. "Hallmark Cards and Thomas Kincade can keep their reindeer and chimneys", he declared. "I'm going with Pratt and Whitney. Fuel me up, elf". And so it is today. 70 years later, if you look up into the sky on Christmas Eve ... there's every chance you'll get hit in the eye by a plummeting box, should any of Monica's hand-sewn parachutes fail to open. Based on the default DC-3, with parachute present delivery effect adapted from the work of Pierino Primavesi. Also features Christmas lights on the cabin top. Merry Christmas to all!

Features include fully animated control surfaces, fully independent suspension, animated thrust reversers, rolling wheels, opening door, fully reflective textures (each part has different degree of reflection based on material), virtual cockpit, reflective cabin windows, reflective cockpit windows, window shades, 3D pilots, 3D cabin interior, 3D passengers, accurate flight dynamics (accurate FDE with full profiles for wheels, tires, struts, engine types... tested by real pilots), flaperons, detailed textures, full night lighting (including cabin and cockpit lights), visible landing lights from the 2D and the virtual cockpit, crash effects, transparent navigation light lenses. NASA TU-144LL: TU-144D aircraft (CCCP-77114) converted to a flying laboratory for NASA with four Kuznetsov NK-321 afterburning turbofan engines and re-registered RA-77114. The aircraft underwent many upgrades and modifications in its conversion to the "LL" Flying Laboratory, including the installation of more powerful NK-321 augmented-turbofan engines that were originally produced for the Tupolev TU-160 Blackjack bomber. NASA successfully used this aircraft to help in designing the U.S. Space Shuttle. She is no longer flying, nor are any other Soviet versions other than the TU-160. This model represents the maximum test payload and fuel for test flights, and includes real world engine/aero dynamics provided by NASA and further employed in this converted model (cosmetics are original).
