Raleigh-Durham International Airport KRDU Single-Layer AFCAD

File Description:
This single-layer AFCAD file, named KRDUBB.txt, is an FS2002 facility file for the Raleigh-Durham International Airport near the cities or Raleigh and Durham, North Carolina. It adds as many gates as possible to the airport. The gates are logically labeled, but may not reflect their real-world equivalent. My goal was to add 'life' to the airport, not recreate an exact replica of the real thing. All runways are available for FS2K2 to select the active. The file ID is KRDU and has the following gate distribution: Heavy-1, Medium-3, Small-12, Express-14, GA-8. I have included Lee Swordy's AF Installer along with this file. It automatically installs it into FS2002. To use the installer, simply click on the file KRDUBB.txt and drag it onto the AF Installer icon.

Hubble Space Telescope Update 2

File Description:
This is an update to the Hubble Space Telescope that comes with the 031105 build of ORBITER. It has the following upgrades: -New meshes -Correct behaviour of the Solar Arrays -Axial Bay1 door animation. Ctrl-B activates it. -Berthing and Postioning System(BAPS) meshes. This is the work cradle that the HST is placed on during the service missions. I also included the BAPS config that was used on the deployment mission, STS-31. -The Solar Arrays can now be rotated using CTRL-R. -The HST now has an active attitude control system which can be turned on/off by press Ctrl-E to turn it on and Ctrl-D to turn it off. -The HST now has better NASA-ESA logo. Credit for that goes to John "MrBatman" Wilson.

Northwest Airlines Boeing 747-451 New Colors

File Description:
Repaint of Project Opensky's (POSKY) excellent Boeing 747-400 aircraft into the new livery of Northwest Airlines. Thank you to Tom Harlaar for letting me use his silver master textures for the fuselage and the engine cowlings. Repaint is semi-photorealistic, ensuring precise accuracy throughout the repaint, and simulating what the actual aircraft looks like in Flight Simulator. The registration of this plane is N676NW, which was the 2nd Northwest 747 to receive the new colors. Repaint includes 32-bit bitmap files for very high detail, a realistic amount of alpha for adding the perfect amount of shine to the aircraft, the mips were removed so the textures are crystal clear and not blurry. Aircraft model features full moving parts including main wheel "bogies", opening doors, animated wingviews, night lighting and more!

59th Squadron U.S.M.C. SA-43 Hammerhead

File Description:
The light toggles are now available on the panel. The Taxi light moves in concert with the wheel steering. Panel from a Chuck Dome public domain original.This one is in the markings of Lt Michael Orick's plane of the 59th Squadron 'Saabertooths'. Sound from the default Learjet but sound pack recommendations in the readme file. Original MDL and Air file by M. D. Anderle from his X-32. Model created by Ian Lawrence. This example is in the markings of the 59th Squadron Space Ready Reserve, the Saabertooths. This aircraft is in the scheme of Lt Michael Orick, callsign 'ORCA'. It is armed for air combat duties with a mixture of long and meduim range missiles comprising of : 2 AAM 94 Bloodhound III missiles. 4 AAM 9X Sidewinder 4 missiles.

Nakajima G8N-1 Renzan "Rita"

File Description:
This is the AN-12 modded into the Imperial Japanese Navy's Nakajima G8N-1 Renzan, Allied code name "Rita", for Strike Fighters. THis allows us to have something to shoot at, as well as the Japanese AI a nice big 4 engine bomber to send against us! The bombload is a useful 9000lbs, and she has 20mm defensive armament. And she's fast! The Rita was the best of the Japanese bombers, basically equivilent to a B-29, but never made it into serial production. The skin is of the 721st Kokutai, based at Yokohama, Japan, late 1944. The Rita comes with WOLF's P-47D-20 cockpit if for some reason you want to fly her. Just paste the entire G8N-1 folder into the Objects/Aircraft folder, and fly!

CPair International iFDG Airbus a319-114

File Description:
The Airbus a319 is like most models from Airbus a benchmark in the name of commercial aviation. The A320 family has built the standards for other competitors (mainly Boeing) to compete with. The Airbus a320 has the widest seats and aisles from all other competitors from the same category. The a320 series prides itself on its comfort. The a319 is also very well engineered on an economic basis. It has options which are friendly for all budgets, and can operate at lower costs due to advances in aerodynamics. The a319 will carry 124 passengers at a time and is a welcome addition to the CPair fleet. This repaint requires the iFDG Airbus a319-114. Two seats in tandem, high wing, tractor, taildragger. Full enclosure with doors. Dope and fabric covering process. Standard engine, Rotax 912S-100hp. The aircraft is flown solo from the front seat. Full dual controls. Equipped with the Rotax 100 HP 912S engine, the Courier leaps into the air in less than 325 feet. Lifting off short means little if you can’t haul a load. 500 pounds of payload puts the Courier in the "do something, go somewhere" class. Tough spring steel gear and effective Cleveland Brakes let you do that something in places previously passed by. The gentle nature of this taildragger will encourages the newcomer and compliments the seasoned. Developed in the land of daily crosswinds (Kansas), the Courier is good for 20 KTS. at 90 degrees – more if you know a few tricks.

Update for HSP LGAV 2005 scenery

File Description:
This update consists of a revised AFCAD, flightplans and textures for the Olympic Aviation Dornier. The AFCAD adds 6 parking spaces for stored Olympic Aviation Dornier 228s, some extra parking spaces at Olympic maintenance, some extra Bizjet parking stands on the main apron and 4 cargo parking spaces for Ver-Avia in their realistic position at the edge of the cargo apron. Representative flightplans are included for 4 Ver-Avia Metroliners, and a basic plan is also included for the Dorniers to enable them to appear in the sim. Textures for the Olympic Aviation Dornier by Ismet Mustafic are included, the models for the Metroliner by Dee Waldron and Do228 by Fernando Martinez are available at AVSIM, as are textures for the Ver- Avia Metroliners by Vladimir Svoboda (Cesmina).
