Gusev Crater Scenery

File Description:
Gusev Crater is an impact crater on Mars that looks as though a lake may have once filled it in the distant past. Gusev Crater is about 145 km (90 miles) wide. It is located at 14.6° South latitude and 175.3° East longitude, along the boundary between Mars' southern highlands and its lowland northern plains. The crater is about 3,000 km (1,900 miles) southeast of the volcano Elysium Mons. Scientists believe the Gusev Crater was formed by the impact of an asteroid three to four billion years ago. A valley named Ma'adim Vallis, which is connected to the south side of the crater, looks like it may have been a river channel that poured water into the crater in the past, forming a large lake. If the crater was indeed a lake, scientists expect it to contain layers of sediments as much as 915 meters (3,000 feet) thick that flowed in with the water. There may be other clues to a watery past within the crater, such as deposits of minerals, such as halite and gypsum, that form when water evaporates. Wet environments are the best places to look for life, which is why scientists are so eager to track down places on Mars that were once wet. On the 3rd of January 2004, MER-A Spirit, one of the two Mars Exploration Rovers (MER) had landed within an 81 km by 12 km (50 by 7 miles) oval near the center of Gusev Crater. Once settled into its new "home", Spirit will begin its mission of exploring for geologic evidence of the presence of water in Gusev Crater's past.

Quad City Challenger Two 'Chief'

File Description:
This is a repaint for Bill Lyon's wonderful Challenger Two Ultralight payware add-on (Custom Classics XI), uploaded with his permission. This is a fictional repaint, based upon similarly painted Aeroncas, ultralights, and such I have seen at various Fly-Ins over the years. There are "Chief" repaints available in this .zip file for all 5 of the Challenger variations; Classic, Clipped Wing, Float, Skis, and Today (modern). Tail numbers may be edited for the national registration of your choice.

File Description:
Utility to remove duplicate textures files. For FS2002 and/or FS2004. Find All Duplicate is an utility to remove duplicate textures from Addon Sceneries in FS2002 or FS2004. It scans your Addon Scenery folder and keeps only one active copy of your texture files either locally or in the main texture folder. You can Backup the duplicate files or delete them. Logs files may be created to see what has been done. Version 2.4 : Bug correction to allow minimizing in task bar.

This zip file contains two versions of this mission. V2 of the mission will work with Orbx base scenery and PNW, P3DV5, and P3DV6. V1 works with FSX, FSXSE, P3DV4. Which ever sim you are running, chose the right version. Also be advised that there may be some scenery anomalies but the mission will still work.

Tucson Airtports Terramodels

File Description:
This model contains the Tucson AZ airports KTUS (Tucson Intl) and KDMA (Daivs Monthan AFB). I put a few aircraft in the graveyard so you can tell where it is but framerates prevented really filling it out. This model is of medium complexity. If you are already having framerate problems then DO NOT use this scenery. In heavy IFR you may have to turn down the sliders a bit. Requires Terramodels Texture Pack, Version 2.1 or greater and Biber's "biberall.zip" models pack.

San Antonio Sectional Chart

File Description:
The San Antonio sectional joins the Albuquerque sectional on our way eastwards to Texas. You may use this chart "as is" without any other software, but it will develop its full potential if used as moving map with SimSystem´s FSFlightMax or FSGarmin. It wouldn´t have been possible to offer this chart without Richard Harvey and his love to flightsimming, so please consider this file to be "donationware" and make a however small contribution to the Richard Harvey Endowed Scholarship.
