British Commonwealth Pacific Airlines - Vancouver to Sydney - 1948

File Description:
British Commonwealth Pacific Airlines operated the first Australian trans-Pacific service from 1946 until 1954, when the airline ceased operations and QANTAS took over this route to North America. Between September 1946 and April 1948, BCPA leased four DC-4 aircraft and the crews to man them from Australian National Airways (ANA) and in April 1948 they (BCPA) commenced operations using their own equipment and staff. This Flight recreates a return journey in September 1948, from Vancouver to Sydney, via the staging points at San Francisco, Honolulu, Canton Island and Nadi (Fiji). A Word document is included which contains information relating to the history of BCPA and the flight itself.

LADU-Colombia Douglas DC-3

File Description:
FS2004. Texture sets only, requiring the base model of the GMAX MAAM-SIM R4D/DC-3 available from www.maam.org. Based on original textures by Jan Visser. Cargo Model. LADU-Colombia from Historic Airways (Breathing new live into old planes). Not much is know about LADU-Colombia, internet research listed some planes, but nothing on the airline itself. This plane (A Super DC-3) was left at the cargo ramp at Jose Maria Cordova (MDE / SKRG), Colombia (reasons unknown) and over the years is now overgrown. From the picture, it looks like the landing gear has been removed and now sits on blocks. Photo taken 27 July 2005.

Excel Airways Summer 2006 v2

File Description:
I had repeated some of the registrations in the original version. These have been corrected and this is the only change. Excel Airways are a charter operator from the UK. They are part of the Icelandic company Avion who also own the Air Atlanta companies and Travel City Direct. As well as the Excel flightplans I have also included the Travel City Dirsct flightplans and some of the wet leased aircraft that Excel are using this summer. They include a B757 from Finnair and MD83s from Alexandair and Nordic Leisure. Please look at the readme for a fuller explanation. As this is a charter airline the flights are a "best effort".

Trans Caribbean Airways Douglas DC-4

File Description:
Trans Caribbean Airways DC-4. This is Jens Kristensen's model repainted by Dave McQueen, April, 2006, textures only. The original aircraft is available at www.Avsim.com. You must download and install his DC-4 model for FS2004 to use these files. Look for DC4_V10.zip. Trans Caribbean operated from 1945 to 1971 starting out as a charter operator to San Juan, PR. It became a scheduled airline in 1957 and acquired jet airliners during the 1960s although it relied on charter and cargo operations primarily. TCA flew troop ferry flights from Travis AFB to Vietnam during the Vietnam War. TCA was purchased by American Airlines in 1971.

Virgin America Airbus A320-200

File Description:
A new low cost airline, Virgin America, starts operation from San Francisco on the 8th August 2007. It will fly from its main hub, KSFO, to KLAX and KJFK. More routes will be added later in the year. This aircraft, registered N625VA, was recently named 'Jefferson Airplane' after the famous group that came from the San Francisco area. This the first repaint that I know of for the wonderful iFDG A320 model. It is saved in DXT3 format for maximum performance but still includes 'Alpha channels' so that reflections show up properly, the full aircraft is included. Also included is the correct 'REDWOOD' callsign sound file for users of EditVoicePack.

Fying Carpet Boeing 737-200 (OD-LMB) Lebanon

File Description:
Flying Carpet is a small lebanese airline located in the new Beirut International Airport, in a city that is at the crossroads between the three continents of Asia, Europe and Africa which it serves with its growing fleet of aircrafts. Established in 2000, Flying Carpet has gained a prominent position in the market and is recognized in the regional market as an outstanding provider of aircraft services. The repaint shows OD-LMB in its somehow droll livery with german "Libanon Reisen"-sticker. Textures only for AI Aardvark model. Thanks to David Rawlins for the model and original paint and thanks to David Carter for FDE.

Bravo Air Congo DC9-30 (9Q-CVT "Laura") Democratic Republic of Congo

File Description:
Bravo Air Congo is a Kinshasa (Democratic Republic of Congo) based airline which belongs to spanish Bravo Group. Bravo Air Congo operates scheduled domestic and regional flights out of Kinshasa with a fleet of aged DC9-30. The repaint shows 9Q-CVT (MSN 48127) named "Laura" after the name of one of the spanish directors daughters. "Laura" was built in 1980 and delivered to Aero México (XA-AMC). Later it became part of GECAS fleet (N127GE) and finally it comes to Bravo Air Congo. Textures only for AI Aardvark model. Thanks to Craig Crawley and David Rawlins for the model and original paint and thanks to David Carter for FDE.
