Pacific Southwest Airlines was a pioneer developing affordable air service in California and throughout the west coast. Based in San Diego, it was known for its bright colors, humorous staff, and the signature smile painted on the nose. The airline was eventually purchased by US Air in 1988.
To honor the airline's heritage, US Airways dedicated an A319 N742PS featuring the PSA livery in 2006, and it was retitled to American in 2014. This is one of several retro jets representing past airlines that form today's American Airlines. Textures only for the great Project Airbus model; the base pack is available here on AVSIM: pa319_basepack_fs9_2014-09-08.zip. Enjoy!

Its features are dynamic wingflex with input from several new parameters including ground spoilers, fuel load, and angle of attack, control surface droop when the engines are off, detailed textures, accurate paint, dynamic shine & effects, independent parallel bogies when on the ground, custom tire rotation code, animated pack vents, gear steering, accurate flight dynamics, idle-reverser animation, ground spoilers, smoothed gear and flap animations, customized nose wheel steering animation, accurate aileron simulation, custom coded engine fan start-up and shutdown animations and many more. Project Airbus A320-232 Chongqing Airlines package for Flight Simulator X. Aircraft model and texture of Chongqing Airlines are included, along with Panel,Sound and Virtual Cockpit from the Default A321. Original aircraft by Project Airbus, textures by He Lingyuan from China. This package still uses A320 V2 model as it is the only FSX based version offered, however the texture is created on A320 V2.1 paintkit and works fine. FS2004 users please search PA320CQN_FS9.zip for the V2.1 package.
