American Airlines Boeing 747 SP

File Description:
American Airlines 747-SP31 repaint for the Project Open Sky 747SP v4 series. American purchased two SP's from TWA. The colors and logos depicted here are accurate to the best of my ability. I've been interested in historic 747's for several years now. These liveries are familiar to me as an outgrowth of my experiences with the Historic Jetliners Group. The metal textures for this repaint were created by Yannick Charland, my colleague from the Historic Jetliners Group. Accurate repaint of Canadian Pacific's (CP Air) C-FCRE Boeing 747-200 onto the Posky model. Every texture of the model has been modified and customized in some way or other, featuring: Accurate details according to real photos of the exact aircraft, accurate colors, customized cabin and cockpit window textures, added gear strut shading and details, custom wing textures featuring weathering and a hint of fuselage reflection, free-flowing and matching textures throughout, custom night lighting, the list goes on. Qantas Default Boeing 747-400

File Description:
This Qantas 747-438, reg. VH-OJK, was introduced in May 1991. On July 25th, 2008, QFA Flight 30 was scheduled to fly from Hong Kong to Melbourne, Australia, when without warning at 29,000 feet, a loud bang was heard by the crew and the cabin starts to depressurize because a hole was formed in the fuselage. But miraculously, all 346 passengers and 19 crew on board survive. This incident was caused by corrosion by the front cargo area of the aircraft. Special Note: The repaint may not look like the one on the actual aircraft.
