DC-4 / C-54 / Carvair sound.cfg

File Description:
In my search for sounds that would be (nearly) matching the real sounds of the Douglas C-54/DC-4 and the Aviation Traders ATL.98 Carvair (vehicle ferry conversion of the C-54 and DC-4), I struck on the DC-3 Sound Pack compiled by Des Braban several years ago. Although intended as a DC-3 sound set, it doesn't quite sound like the Pratt & Whitney Twin Wasp C-series (aka R-1830) engines which powered the majority of the DC-3/C-47/C-53 aircraft. Instead it sounds much more like the Pratt & Whitney Twin Wasp D-series (aka R-2000) engines which powered the C-54/DC-4 and, later on, the Pan American converted Hi-Per DC-3, the EC-47Q, the DHC-4 Caribou and ATL.98 Carvair. In order to make the sound set appropriate for the four engined C-54/DC-4/Carvair, I slightly altered the sound.cfg by just doubling the number of engines and copying some existing lines. Nothing else has been changed. All the wav files remained unaltered and no wav files have been added. The result, however, is a full sound which is very close to that of the real C-54/DC-4/Carvair. In order to get the proper sound, you will require Des Braban's DC-3 Sound Package (dc3sndpk.zip). Original sound.cfg by Des Braban; revised for Douglas DC-4/C-54 and Aviation Traders ATL.98 Carvair by Maarten Brouwer.

Authentic General Electric CF6-80C2A Series Sounds A306/A310 Version 5 (FS Sound Project)

Yet again another version of my GE CF6 Sounds for the A300 and A310. This time you'll notice various improvements such a reduced file size, which will tremendously improve your framerates and for you Dial Up users. No More Download Headaches! Improved Engine whine I added more bass so you'll be able to hear the rath of these powerful engines, a recently recorded Max Power Buzz Saw Like Sounds Heard during take-off. I also reprogrammed some of the exterior values so the time the engine has to whine has increased, compliments to some new wavs for the exterior set. Authentic General Electric CF6-80A Sounds For The Boeing 767

File Description:
These Sounds were the results of two months of hard work. Every Small aspect of these engine's characteristics are captured in this soundset. This is the first soundset made exactly for the CF6-80A Engine Commonly found on 767-200s and Older A310-200 aircraft. All of the interior engine sounds were exclusively recorded from the business class cabin of an American Airlines 767-200ER on a flight from JFK to Miami. The exterior sounds were only taken from the finest recordings of the CF6-80A engine. I'd like to furthermore also present to you FS Sound Project's first release, for tech support or if you'd like to comment on these sounds please visit us at www.fssound.cbj.net. Airpac Cargo Callsign "AIRPAC"

File Description: This is the call sign for Airpac Cargo, Boeing Field, Wa. This is a customized, all 8 voices sound file. It was one of the most difficult I have done. If anyone thinks it needs further customizing, let me now which voice and I will work further on it. I think they all sound real well considering the limitations.
