| Quebec CYQB |
|
File Description:
All pilots have used or heard the word "Quebec" during their radio communication but not many pilots actually landed at Quebec International airport (CYQB). A great number of Head of States, VIPs, tourists came to Quebec City for summits, special occasions or to visit the city declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 1985. Quebec airport is also hosting a great airshow and this year in June, to celebrate the 400th anniversary of Quebec City, five of the world best aerobatic squadrons will perform simultaneously over Quebec: the British "Red Arrows", the French "La Patrouille de France", the US Navy "Blue Angels", the USAF "Thunderbirds" and the Canadian "Snowbirds". It will be quite a sight.
This very accurate scenery will give you the opportunity to visit CYQB with your simulator. Months of effort were devoted to make this scenery as real as possible. This package includes more that 25 highly detailed hangars and buildings all having night textures, some of them have windows with specular effect. Light poles provide aprons lighting. The adjacent mount Belair have communication towers with strobe lights visible for over 12nm which provides a good visual reference coming into the airport. Exceltech, a maintenance facility has static aircrafts parked in front. A second publication will include the new terminal which is presently under construction.

| Pilatus PC-6C KLU SFIR, Tallil, Iraq, 2004 |
|
File Description:
Pilatus PC-6C H2 Turbo Porter for FSX by Tim Conrad in a Royal Netherlands Air Force livery. The PC-6C Turbo Porter has been an amazing contribution to the STOL aircraft fleet around the world for decades. It's robust airframe and excellent aerodynamics make the plane very popular for para-drops, but also for supply missions in remote area's throughout the globe. Despite it's age the aircraft is still widely in use. This repaint represents a "what-if" RNLAF PC-6C in 336 Sqn colours. 336 Sqn has been a Dutch Antilles based Air Force MARPAT unit operating F-27MPA's. Currently the Sqn operates four C-130's from Eindhoven AB, with a new Sqn logo. This PC-6C is (fictionally and prior to the 336 Sqn re-establishment) operated by 2 ULF(Utility and Liaison Flight), 336 Sqn. The flight is designated to operate anywhere in the world. This livery resembles a unit operating from Tallil AB (Ali Air Base (ORTL), Iraq) under SFIR mandate, and in support of the Dutch battlegroup, Al Muthanna, 2004. The aircraft shares the same registration as my previous livery (PC-6C_KLU.zip), but weathered, tone-down camouflaged and 32 years later. You need the excellent freeware PC-6C H2 Turbo Porter by Tim Conrad in order to use this repaint. Enjoy!

| RAF Tempsford |
|
File Description:
RAF Tempsford was perhaps the most secret airfield in the Second World War. It was home to the Special Duties Squadrons, No. 138, which dropped Special Operations Executive (SOE) agents and their supplies into occupied Europe, and No. 161, which specialised in personnel delivery and retrieval by landing in occupied Europe. RAF Tempsford is very close to Little Gransden Airfield and can be clearly seen from flights climbing out from the westerly runway 28. Other active airfields nearby include the former RAF bases at Gransden Lodge and Bourn.
By 2002 part of the former Tempsford airfield was a concrete-making facility and some of the main airfield buildings had been turned into various commercial workshops. A nearby public footpath led to the end of a substantially intact runway and then on to Gibraltar Farm, the agents' final dispatch point.
This barn contains several plaques and memorials to the agents, both men and women, who were flown from the airfield, many of whom were later killed after being captured and tortured. A memorial is also to be found in St Peter's Church, in the nearby village of Tempsford, and the Tempsford Memorial is outside the church, commemorating the men and women who served as secret agents in occupied Europe during the Second World War and the RAF aircrew who transported them.

| C-17 Globemaster III/ER |
|
Images related to this file:
File Description:
The C-17 Globemaster III/ER is a heavy cargo aircraft used by several foreign militaries, but primarily the U.S. Air Force. She is designed to do many things that other cargo aircraft cannot, based on her unique design. This version incorporates the extended range fuel tanks. The real world aircraft can actually use reverse thrust in flight, up to 100% reverse power, during descents or on the ground. It is also the only heavy aircraft in the world with a wing efficiency factor over 1.0, which is theoretically impossible, but true. All of the dynamics in this model are correct down to the inch, so she does almost everything the real aircraft does. Some things are not possible in FSX, including reverse thrust while in flight, but full flaps/slats employed in a steep descent will adequately simulate this effect without damage to the model while in flight. The landing gear are authentic and capable of heavy loads. The weight and balance is authentic. The fuel tanks are authentic. The aircraft name, tail number, location, and callsign are authentic. The calculated range(s) listed are all authentic, understanding that most public data released is based on average range, at average altitude, and normal payload missions. The sound is authentic. The engine dynamics are authentic. The panel used is the best I could find, is fairly authentic, and requires some pre-flight study before flight. All-in-All the aircraft is very simple to fly, but requires some study to operate correctly, so I recommend all simmers watch as many "You Tube" videos, read as many authentic sites, and study as much as possible about this aircraft before operation. FSX McDonnell-Douglas MD-11F repaint textures for the real world
Sky Lease Cargo N951AR. Miami based Sky Lease Cargo is affiliated with
Centurion Cargo and Cielos Airlines. This aircraft does not share any of the
features of Centurion Cargo's liveries, because she is completely white.
For the freeware SMS Overland MD-11 with P&W 4460 engines, which you must
have previously installed in FSX. I installed the (SMS-MD-11_Dutch_Package.zip)
with VC which works well with this repaint. Also includes engine exhaust smoke
coordinates which you can add to your "aircraft.cfg" if you wish.
Screenshots enclosed. Easy installation. Repaint by Tom Tiedman.

| X3SY - RAF Saltby - Leicestershire, England |
|
File Description:
RAF Saltby (ICAO X3SY)was a World War II airfield in Leicestershire, England. The airfield is located approximately 8 miles (13 km) northeast of Melton Mowbray; about 90 miles (140 km) north-northwestof London.
It was opened in 1942, and was used by both the Royal Air Force and United States Army Air Forces. During the war it was used primarily as a transport airfield. Like many airfields of the time it closed after the war in 1945 but kept in reserve until 1955.
Today the remains of the airfield are located on private property and, now known as Saltby Airfield, is used primarily for gliding.

| TAP 'Circa 1978' Boeing 727-100 |
|
Images related to this file:
File Description:
This is a repaint of the 727-100 in TAP (Portugal) colors. The freeware 727-100 by Tenkuu Developers Studio (TDS) is needed for this repaint. TAP, Portugal's national airline, was created by the Portuguese government in 1944, but operations didn't start until 1946 with a DC-3 Lisbon to Madrid flight. TAP went "all jet" in 1967, before most carriers in the world, and were the first in Europe to be so. Their fleet at that time was 707s, 727-100s, and caravelles. This repaint depicts one of their 727-100s from the late 1970s. This repaint was tested on P3D v3. It should work on FSX & FSX-SE.

| RAF Holme On Spalding Moor |
|
File Description:
Built during the Second World War, RAF Holme On Spalding Moor was used by the Royal Air Force (RAF) as a bomber station, and after the war as a transport airfield and bomb store before being "mothballed". In the 1950s, the RAF used the station as a training camp before it was transferred to the United States Air Force (USAF) as a reserve station during the Cold War. After USAF use, it became a testing airfield for Blackburn Aircraft and its successor British Aerospace until 1983, when the airfield was closed. Many of the airfield buildings survive as an industrial estate, but all of the runways have been demolished.
