Qantas Airways Douglas DC-4-1009

File Description:
This is a repaint (textures only) of Jens Kristensen's fine DC-4. You must have Jens' DC-4/C-54 to use these textures. The original aircraft (dc4_v10.zip) is available at www.Avsim.com and www.Flightsim.com. This represents Qantas Airways DC-4-1009 VH-EBL as it would have appeared in 1954. It was not a converted C-54B but a post-war DC-4-1009. It was originally delivered to Trans Australia Airlines in 1946, sold to British Commonwealth Pacific Airlines in 1948 and purchased by Qantas in 1949. It was later sold to Ansett-ANA in 1961.

Qantas Empire Airways Douglas DC-3

File Description:
This is a repaint (textures only) of the MAAM-SIM DC-3. You must have the payware MAAM-SIM R4D/DC-3 to use these textures. The original aircraft is available at http://www.maam.org/. This represents Qantas Empire Airways DC-3 VH-EAO as it would have appeared circa 1949. It was later re-registered as VH-EBX to make the VH-EAO registration available for a 1049G Constellation.

Imperial Airways - Croydon to Cologne - 1934

File Description:
This Flight recreates the daily service operated over the 340 miles between London (Croydon airport), Brussels (Belgium) and Cologne, in Germany. The aircraft used is the Short Scylla, a four-engined machine and the land version of the Short Scipio flying boat and modelled by Jens Kristensen - s17l_v2.zip at Avsim. (As there is no Croydon airport in the default FSim 2004 you will need to download a file named vla.zip, by John McKeon. There is a minor update, vlatxfx.zip, which you should also download.) Please read the Word DOC file I've included with this package as it contains important information regarding the flight.

Thai Airways & Lufthansa Airbus A340-600

File Description:
Per request, I've painted the liveries of "Thai and Lufthansa" A340-600. These are textures only for the "Fly the Airbus Fleet" Abacus payware. Note that Lufthansa paint scheme is fictional and rather a nice touch on what I see. Happy flying!

Imperial Airways - Genoa to Alexandria - 1931

File Description:
In 1931 Imperial Airways operated a revised timetable for their flying boat service between Genoa and Alexandria. The route was changed and instead of taking four days the journey-time was cut in half. After departing Genoa in the morning of the first day, the aircraft made stops at Naples and Corfu before arriving in Athens for an overnight stay. The next morning the machine (now a Short S.17 Kent or “Scipio” class) departed Athens after breakfast and only made one stop en-route Alexandra, and that was at Crete. Passengers arrived in Alexandria in the afternoon of the second day, a huge cut in time compared to the 1929 timetable. This flight represents the inaugural service of 16th. May 1931 and uses Jens Kristensen's Short S.17 "Scipio" flying boat.
