The wait is finally over, paying tribute to arguably the most well known military aviation movie of all time, Top Gun. This package depicts the various fixed wing units stationed at NAS Miramar during the making of the film, circa 1986. This package is also the first to feature Nick Black' new A-4 Skyhawk and F-14A/B Tomcat AI models. I removed and replaced some default buildings, moved the control tower and added additional buildings. Added static fuel trucks, helicopters, parking lots with cars and light poles. adjusted taxiways and aprons as needed.

File Description:
This is a repaint for the default FSX Acceleration EH101 Merlin, depicting a 'Cab' used 824 Naval Air Squadron of RNAS Culdrose during the summer of 2009. The Merlin training unit, 824 NAS's HM.1s are a very regular site around west Cornwall. Especially south of the base on the Lizard Peninsula, on the short flight path between Culdrose and its satellite airfield, Predannack. A former RAF station in its own right. This is obviously a fictitious repaint as the FSX Merlin is modelled on the transport variant (HC.3 in RAF service) as opposed to the maritime patrol HM.1. By Ash Jackson

File Description:
This is a repaint for the payware FSX/P3D A2A Simulations AT-6 Texan. This repaint depicts the SNJ-5 BuNo.91066 which survives today in storage pending restoration with Tri-State Aviation in Wahpeton, North Dakota. The aircraft is depicted in original, authentic 1950-1951 era markings as it would have had while stationed at NAS Pensacola during that period. The aircraft is presented as it would look if fully restored and flying today in those original markings, including its real-world registration of N8005V applied under the tail. Includes modified VC textures to reflect authentic details of an original in-service SNJ.

This is a repaint of Alphasim's excellent T-28B. These textures represent a T-28B that has the "Delta" markings used by VT-27, which is a squadron of TAW-4, stationed at NAS Corpus Christi. This aircraft has been restored and is in civilian use with FAA registration of NX91AW. THESE ARE TEXTURES ONLY! You need the ALPHASIM T-28 payware package.

By request, here is an improved version of the stock NAS Whidbey Island. I added many Military_Cargo and Military_Combat parking spaces. I removed many buildings, including the control tower, that were poorly placed and replaced them with buildings in the proper locations. I made many changes to the aprons and taxiways, making them match up to Google Earth. Added some eye candy in the form of static vehicles, light poles, helipads, etc.

Added static fuel trucks, static airplanes and helicopters, parking lots with cars and light poles. Added, removed, or adjusted taxiways and aprons as needed. I moved one apron to be compatible with the Ultimate Terrain coastline, but it should also be fine with default scenery.
