Lockheed F-104A/B Starfighter (Pakistani Air Force), aka the Zipper, Coffin Nail, Flying Coffin, or Missile with a Man in It (in untrained hands it resembles a lawn dart). I present a comprehensive AI traffic model package for this hotrod of military jet history. Going into production in 1955, this aircraft was manufactured, directly or by license, by 6 countries, and served the air forces of 17 countries. Late examples served until 2004, nearly fifty years after its introduction. An original 7-LOD model brings this historic aircraft to the flightsim world. This package represents the F-104A/B in the service of the Pakistani Air Force; with a total of 6 models and 24 repaints. I am also including some optional variants with manual install instructions, on a separate document in the zip file. Original aircraft model and textures by Michael Pearson, flight dynamics by Michael MacIntyre.

File Description:
Jat Airways is one of the first airliners on the world. In good days, they had DC-10, DC-9, B727 and B707. In 80´ they bought B737-300 and sold the old B707s. But after the broke down of Yugoslavia in 1990, they are fighting for survival. From year 2000, the old B727, DC-9 and DC-10 were retired, sold or leased. In year 2002, they rented 2 old B737-400. So today, they have got 11 B737-300 with 2 in lease, 2 B737-400 and 4 ATR72.
Now they are flying all across the Europe (Amsterdam, Athens, Berlin, Brussels, Copenhagen, Düsseldorf, Frankfurt, Gothenburg, Istanbul, Larnaca, London, Ljubljana, Milan, Moscow, Munich, Nis, Ohrid, Paris, Podgorica, Prague, Rome, Sarajevo, Skopje, Stockholm, Stuttgart, Thessaloniki, Tirana, Tivat, Trieste, Vienna and Zurich), Middle East (Beirut, Damask, Dubai, Kuwait and Tel Aviv) and North Africa (Cairo, Tripoli and Tunis).

| Conifair Lockheed 749 Constellation Tankers |

File Description:
FS9 Textures for the Lockheed 749 Constellation by Manfred Jahn and Volker Bohme.
The textures depict Lockheed C-121A Constellations C-GXKO Tanker 1, and C-GXKR Tanker 2, when they were used by Conifair for spraying budworms in the forestry in the 1980's.
C-GXKO, ex 48-609 c/n2601, went on to become the well known MATS Constellation owned by Vern Raeburn and then was acquired by a museum in Korea where it is now on permanent display.
C-GXKR, ex 48-612, c/n2604, sat derelict for some time after being retired from spraying duties. It was then acquired by a museum in Holland and restored to flying condition and KLM colors, and flown across to Lelystad, Holland, where it is now on display at the Aviodrome, and although not flown, it is kept in a state of airworthiness. Repaints by Mark Rogers.

File Description:
Air Links started its operations in 1959 from Gatwick,
initially with one and from 1961 with two more DC-3 aircraft.
In 1962 these were replaced by a single Handley Page Hermes,
which became the last still in airline service. In 1964 the
Hermes was replaced by several ex-BOAC Argonauts, acquired
from Flying Enterprise, the Royal Rhodesian Air Force and
East African Airways. They were mainly used for charters
around Europe, as well as special trooping flights for the
Ministry of Defense to Gibraltar, Hanover and the Middle and
Far East. Already in 1965, after the company had been renamed
Transglobe Airways and Bristol Britannias has been purchased,
the Argonauts were written from use and scrapped or used for
fire drills. These are textures only; you will require Jens
B. Kristensen's FS2004 Canadair Argonaut and North Star V3.0
(argo_V30.zip). Repaint by Maarten Brouwer.

File Description:
I am proud to present this highly detailed Project Airbus A319-112 in the beautiful Air India livery, registration VT-SCH. Air India Limited is the state-owned, international airline of India. It is part of the National Aviation Company of India Ltd, created in 2007 as part of Air India's merger with Indian Airlines. Air India's main hubs are Chatrapati Shivaji International in Mumbai and Indira Gandhi International in Delhi. Many of the logos on this aircraft are hand painted. I hope you enjoy flying this as much as I enjoyed painting it. I paid attention to detail and realism as much as possible. This full installation package includes the Project Airbus A19 CFM model and air files. Most repainted textures are 32-bit with no mipmaps. Uses default 737-400 panel and sounds. This texture represents "Big Gas Bird" one of the B-17G Flying Fortresses of the 385th Bomb Group, 8th Air Force.The B-17G started seeing action with the 385th in November, 1943 and continued until the end of the war. The Checkerboard group markings on the tail were adopted in February, 1945.

| Saab Safir Ethiopian Air Force |

File Description:
The Ethiopian Air Force bought 16 Safir A's in 1946, with an additional 14 C models in 1960. In May 1947, the Swedish advisor to Haile Selassie Count Carl Gustaf von Rosen made good publicity for the SAAB Safir by flying a 91A from Sweden to Ethiopia during a 31 hour non-stop flight. The aircraft was a standard one, just extra fuel tanks were installed. The Saabs were based in Debre Zeyit, close to Addis Abeba, and initially, the Ethiopian pilots were trained by a group of Swedish instructors under von Rosen. This repaint represents one of the second batch of 91C models, numbered 136. At least 18 airframes survived well into the 90's, when they were sold to South Africa. It is not clear whether 136 is one of them.. Repaint for the SibWings Saab Safir by jan Kees Blom.

Numerous recommendations for new and different things to do and audition are also included as well as the usual assortment of "How-To's", links to useful sites, and much, much more. There is also a segment reviewing some exceptional aircraft design work. In addition there is a "from the e-mailbag" department where we try to answer a question of general interest submitted by a reader. Updated indexes by John Burford in .xls (Excel) and .pdf formats for the entire series are included. As usual, I have attempted to include something of value for everyone, regardless of your experience level. Compiled in .doc and .pdf formats for your flying enjoyment by David "Opa" Marshall.
