Helicopter Trim Gauge

File Description:
This gauge allows trimming of any helicopter in FSX in the same way fixed wing aircraft are trimmed, using the same keystrokes or axis assignment (the latter for elevator only). It also adds a little 2D panel to show current trims positions and allows separate configuration for different rotocraft. It is designed for FSX and is totally incompatible with previous versions of Flight Simulator.

Spherical Distance Calculator

File Description:
This is a little calculator used to calculate the spherical distance from one point to another, based upon latitude and longtitude. It comes pre-loaded with the locations of the default MSFS 2004 airports, which are available via dropdown boxes. You can add your own if you want. You must have 2003 version of Excel or compatible to use. No guarantee on accuracy, but I have found it useful in setting up AI flight plans.

RCMQ Ching Chuan Kang Air Base, Taiwan

File Description:
This is an improvement of the default RCMQ Ching Chuan Kang Air Base, a dual-use airport in Central Taiwan that was built by the US in 1960s to serve as a divert base for B-52 bombers during Vietnam War. It is now the home of ROCAF 427th Tactical Fighter Wing flying F-CK-1 Ching-Kuo fighters. It is also served by airlines with flights to domestic destinations as well as Hongkong, China, and Vietnam. Satellite imagery available online were used to reposition taxiways, add and resize aprons, and add civilian gates and military aircraft parking. Prominent buildings were represented using stock library objects. Created using Airport Design Editor 1.39b by Mike Huang.

Braniff "Tribute to Mexico" 727

File Description:
Repaint only for Captainsim's Legendary 727. TCE (Texture & Config Editor)compliant. This aircraft was never painted by Braniff but Alexander Calder did paint a scale model of it. Calder passed away in 1976; The plane was to be called "Tribute to Mexico". I would like to call this repaint "Tribute to Calder". May his art forever grace the Flightsim skies.

Braniff "Flying Colors of the U.S." 727

File Description:
Repaint of Captainsim's Legendary 727. TCE (Texture & Config Editor) compliant. With wings painted. In 1975 Alexander Calder was commissioned by Braniff to paint an airplane for the Bicentennial, and N408BN was that plane. It was dedicated in a ceremony in Washington D.C. by then First Lady Betty Ford as "The Flying Colors of the United States".

RCGM Taoyuan Air Base, Taiwan

File Description:
This is an improvement of the default RCGM Taoyuan Air Base in Northern Taiwan. RCGM was the home base of several ROC Air Force units, including the 35th "Black Cat" Squadron that flew deep penetration missions into China using U-2. The base was turned over to the ROC Navy in 2007 and now serves as the home for fixed-wing ASW aircraft. Satellite imagery available online were used to reposition taxiways, add and resize aprons, and add civilian gates and military aircraft parking. Prominent buildings were represented using stock library objects. Created using Airport Design Editor 1.39b by Mike Huang.
