File Description: This folder contains a repaint for version 3.14 of the Douglas C-47 by Manfred Jahn and colleagues in the colors of C-47A VH- BAA of Brain & Brown. C-47-20-DK c/n 13084 42-93199 flew with the RAAF as A65-49 VH-CIE before joining Qantas in 1946 as VH-EAL, EBH and EBW. It went to Brain & Brown in 1960 and flew with them until 1979. It was then taken to the Warbirds Aviation Museum in Mildura, but was moved to Alice Springs in 1995 to join the Cenbtral Australian Aviation Museum, where it is now painted in the colors of VH-EWE of Connair. Repaint by Jan Kees Blom for Manfred Jahn's C-47 version 3.14, based on the paintkit by Gman5250.

Beechcraft V-35B Bonanza (D-EHEX)

File Description: This folder contains a repaint for the A2A Beechcraft V35 Bonanza in the colors of D-EHEX. Beechcraft J35 c/n D-5580 was built in 1958 and was bought in 1962 by ex-luftwaffe general Adolf Galland, for his 50th birthday. Galland flew with D-EHEX, which he called "The fat one \ Der Dicke" until 1980, when the aircraft had 2320 hours. In 1981 it was sold to George D. Huss, who was the US ambassador to Bonn, who registered it as N222VH. It was damaged in a landing accident in Siegerland in 1986 and is currently in Thun, Switzerland, still undergoing repairs. I used the textures by Marius Kramer to create the smaller windows of the J35. Repaint by Jan Kees Blom, based on the paintkit by A2A.

Supermarie Spitfire Mk.IIb No 249 Sqn T-I

File Description: This folder contains a repaint for the A2A Spitfire in the colors of Spitfire Mk Vc BR290, one of the aircraft of 249 Sqn, based on Malta. It arrived on Malta with operation Bowery, when it was flown off USS Wasp on the 9th of May 1942. Lessons had been learned from an earlier delivery run, and all 61 aircraft that reached Malta were immediately refuelled and rearmed, to be ready to repell the axis airfleets that came to destroy them early on the 10th. In the resulting air battle, the Italian bombers were chased away, and 47 German fighters were shot down (for the loss of 3 British), marking the end of daylight raids on Malta. Ryan Navion B (TF-AIE)

File Description: A repaint for the LDR Development Ryan Navion B in the colors of TF-AIE, c/n NAV-4-1027. It flew originally as TF-FSB with the Icelandic CAA bewtween 1953 and 1963, before passing into civilian hands as TF-AIE. It remained in the colors presented in this paint until the early '80's, but was later painted in a white/red scheme. It was destroyed at Selfoss airfield as the result of an inflight fire on friday the 13th of november 1987, miraculously within casualties. Note: it contains three versions: without tiptanks, with old tipotanks and with new tiptanks.

Lockheed L-049 Constellation (5Y-ABF) Britair

File Description: This folder contains two repaints for the A2A Lockheed L049 Constellation in the colors of 5Y-ABF of Britair. British East Africa Airways was formed by Captain Marian Kozubski in November 1964, formerly owner of Falcon Airways, as a charter company to operate IT charters from Europe to East Africa. One L-049 (G-AHEL) was bought from Euravia and registered 5Y-ABF. It operated every thee weeks on schedules from Rotterdam to Nairobi and Mombasa via Malta staring 20 December 1964. A fleet of four 049's were planned, but the airline suspended operations at the end of the summer of 1965, and only operated that aircraft. 5Y-ABF was finally scrapped in Shannon in 1966. Repaint by Jan Kees Blom, based on the paintkit by A2A.

Lockheed L-049 Constellation (43-10310) USAAF

File Description: This folder contains two repaints for the A2A Lockheed L049 Constellation in the first colors of 43-10310 of the USAAF. C/n 1962 was the one of the first C-69's delivered to the USAAF in 1943. It started flying in TWA colors in 1944, but with its military serial. It made a record breaking flight from Burbank to Washington DC on 17 April 1944, with Howard Hughes as pilot. It was allocated to Transcontinental & Western as NC38936, but remained on the USAAF inventory until 1947. It was then used for spares, but rebuilt in 1952 for Intercontinent Airways. It was written off after it caught fire in a belly landing at Burbank during a training flight. Repaint by Jan Kees Blom, based on the paintkit by A2A.

North American P-51D 355th FG (YF-H) "Susan B. III"

File Description: This folder contains a second repaint for the A2A WoP3 P-51D Mustang, in the colors of P-51D 44-14799 YF-H "Susan B III", the aircraft flown by Lt. Clarence H Kouche of the 358th FS/ 355th FG, based in Steeple Morden, UK. The aircraft survived the war, but was damaged beyond repair in a landing incident in september 1945. The original Susan B was a P-51B that was also damaged during a landing incident, Susan B 2 was a P-51D that ran out of fuel, with the pilot, a Lt Fees, bailing out over the UK. Lt Couche continued in the USAF after the war, and died on his 89th birthday in 2008. Repaint by Jan Kees Blom, based on the A2A paintkit.

North American P-51D 339th FG (D7-C) "Whoa! To Joe’s Woes"

File Description: This folder contains a repaint for the A2A WoP3 P-51D Mustang, in the colors of P-51D 44-14890 D7-C/ “Whoa! To Joe’s Woes”, the assigned aircraft of Capt. Joseph G Farrell, Brooklyn NY of the 503rd FS, 339th FG. This a/c was crash-landed on 24 March 1945 by Lt. William R Preddy, some twenty-four days before he was killed in action. The strange nickname on this P-51 has nothing to do with Capt. Farrell being named Joseph but rather a reference to the Russian Dictator Joseph Stalin who was constantly bemoaning the lack of a second front by the allies. D-Day of course put an end to “Joe’s Woes”. Repaint by Jan Kees Blom, based on the paintkit by A2A.

De Havilland Canada DHC-3 Otter (LN-IKI) Transit Air

File Description: This folder contains a repaint for the Milviz DHC-3 Otter. It shows LN-IKI as it looked when flying with Transit Air of Norway in 1983. Built in 1954 with c/n 30, it was shipped to Norway in crates and was assembled at Kjeller Air Base Norway, before joining the Norwegian Air Force. It was struck off in 1967 and became LN-IKI with Varangfly A/S of Kirkenes. It was severely damaged in 1972, when it landed on water with the wheels down, but was repaired. In 1984, it went to the US as N4683K. After a few years in Canada as C-FWAF, it is now flying in Alaska as N63354, based in Juneau. Repaint by Jan Kees Blom, based on the paintkit by Milviz.
