It shows B-24M-20-CO 44-42151 of the 431st BS, 11th BG, based on Saipan, Marianas Islands, 19 May 1945. The aircraft was named after an earlier 'Bolivar', which completed over 80 missions. It shows B-24H-10-FO 42-52205 "Bama Baby" of the 739th BS, 454th BG, based in San Giovanni, Italy. The aircraft completed 72 missions before it was declared war weary, and probably scrapped. Originally Focke Wulf c/n 138, it flew with the German Air Force as 91+17 before being demobbed and becoming D-EOBU in Germany. It is still airworthy.
