Fairey Albacore Download

Images related to this file:

File Description:
Fairey Albacore V1.0 The Fairey Albacore was a British single-engine carrier-borne biplane torpedo bomber built by Fairey Aviation between 1939 and 1943 for the Fleet Air Arm and used during the Second World War. It had a three-man crew and was designed for spotting and reconnaissance as well as delivering bombs and torpedoes. The Albacore, popularly known as the "Applecore", was conceived as a replacement for the aging Fairey Swordfish, which had entered service in 1936. However, the Albacore served with the Swordfish and was retired before it, being replaced by the Fairey Barracuda and Grumman Avenger monoplane torpedo bombers. This Aircraft depicts Fairey Albacore N4389, 827 Naval Air Squadron, HMS Victorious. Shot down during raid on Kirkenes, July 1941. Salvaged, rebuilt and now on display in the FAA Museum Instrument panel uses default Guages, Usual Animation and reflective textures

Supermarine Spitfire Mk.IX EN186 Bluebird Download

Images related to this file:

File Description:
Spitfire IXc EN186 was the personal aircraft of S/L L.C. Wade, an American flying with the RAF. Wade was born in the small farming community of Broaddus, Texas in 1915. He was the second son of Bill and Susan Wade, who named him L.C. (only after the RAF demanded a forename did he call himself Lance Cleo Wade). After the family moved to a farm near Reklaw, Texas in 1922 he worked on the family farm and attended the local school. He was unable to join the US Army Aviation Cadet Program due to a lack of a college education. He began flying at age 17, at Tucson, Arizona. In 1934 at age 19, Wade joined the Civilian Conservation Corps (CCC) in Arizona. He joined the RAF in Canada in December 1940 and trained with No. 52 Operational Training Unit (OTU). Wade was then sent to the British aircraft carrier Ark Royal and flew off her deck in Hawker Hurricane to reinforce the depleted ranks of aircraft on the island of Malta. He was then sent to Egypt as a Hawker Hurricane Mk I pilot in September 1941, and was posted to 33 Squadron. The squadron's mission was to provide close air support for Operation Crusader, the British assault launched on November 18, 1941, against the German Afrika Korps. His first kills were two Fiat CR.42s on 18 November. He attained the rank of "ace" on 24 November 1941. He began flying Hurricane Mk IIs in April 1942, and was awarded the Distinguished Flying Cross (DFC). He had 13 victories as of September 1942. He spent the next several months back in the US on various RAF projects including evaluating some American fighters at Wright Field. He returned to combat as a Flight Commander in 145 Squadron with a Bar to his DFC, flying Supermarine Spitfire Mk Vs. Promoted to squadron leader, he had a busy 60 days, as by the end of April his score was 21, by then flying Spitfire Mk IXs. His squadron moved to Italy, and as a Spitfire VIII pilot he claimed two Focke-Wulf Fw 190s of Schlachtgeschwader 4 on 2 October 1943. His last claims were three FW 190s (again of SG 4) damaged on 3 November. Wade became a wing commander and joined the staff of the Desert Air Force but was there only briefly, as he was killed in a flying accident on 12 January 1944 at Foggia, Italy. In 30 fights for which he made claims he was credited with 23 victories including two shared), one probable, and 13 damaged. He is also credited with one destroyed and five damaged on the ground. Wing Commander Wade is usually listed with 25 victories but official RAF records show that he had 22 solo victories and half each of two more for a total of 23, not counting one probable. Regardless of whether his score is 25, or 23 victories, he is still the leading American fighter ace to serve exclusively in any foreign air force. Since he never transferred to the USAAF, or any other American Air service, Wade never got the publicity that other American aces received and thus is more obscure than his peers. The aircraft depicted in this repaint, EN186, started its active career with 249 sqn on Malta, who used it for high flying reconaissance, and who were responsible for replacing the dark green with Mediterranean Blue. The aircraft was then transferred to Tunisia, where it was the personal aircraft of W/C Gleed of the 244 wing. After his death, it went to L.C. Wade, who scored 5 victories with it in april 1943. He did not apply any codes to it, and referred to it in his logbook as BB, for Blue Bird. He flew it till august 1943, when he changed to flying Spitfire MK VIII JF472 Repaint by Jan Kees Blom, based on the paintkit by RealAir.

KLM Royal Dutch Airlines Mc Donnell Douglas Super 80 Retro Scheme Download

File Description:
Highly detailed, hand drawn fictional repaint of CoolSky's Super 80 in KLM's 70's livery. KLM did operate the McDonald Douglas DC-9, but when faced with it's replacement chose the now widely popular 737, instead of the MD-80 series. The rest is history. Since I am a huge fan of 'retro' liveries, because in my opinion, it shows the real romance of flying 'back in the days', I painted this livery, with all the dirt, wear and chipped of markings you can imagine, zipdive if you don't believe me. These are textures only and are intended for use on the Flight1/CoolSky Super 80. This texture must be processed using Flight1's "Text-o-Matic" utility in order to create a new aircraft with this livery on it. Enjoy it!

AirTran Airways Boeing 717 'Last Ship Delivered' Download

File Description:
This is a "pixel by pixel" repaint of the excellent SGA MD-95 in current AirTran livery, with details taken from my observations working the ramp in Orlando, FL. This re-paint was inspired by the upcoming delivery of the very last 717 ever built and bears the final registry and ship number. I have included a separate engine texture for those who would like the "teal color" engines. This is purely fictional and not an official livery change. Simply replace the original "engine_t.bmp" file with the one in the "teal engine" folder. I hope you will enjoy flying with this as much as I enjoyed my first steps into the re-paint world. All Texture files are 32 bit BMP's with alpha. It may take time to load depending on your system!

American Eagle "Piedmont Retro" DeHavilland Dash 8-100 Download

Images related to this file:

File Description:
Similar to its mainline counterparts, Piedmont unveiled a retro livery on N837EX to highlight the company's rich history. The aircraft features the name of the company's retiring CEO, Steve Farrow, who served from 2005 to 2016, and nephew of the airline's founder, Richard Henson. Today's Piedmont traces its origins back to Henson Aviation, a commuter airline based in Hagerstown, MD which began commercial operations in 1962. The company was acquired by Piedmont (the mainline predecessor) in 1983 and the first Dash 8's were delivered. Henson continued to grow as a regional airline, and was renamed Piedmont after USAir purchased mainline Piedmont in 1989 to preserve the airline's identity. The airline continued to grow under US Airways Express and still serves as new American Airlines. Painted on the great Dreamwings model. Enjoy!

Myanmar Airways International - Summer 2007 Download

File Description:
Myanmar Airways International took off in August 1993, the result of a joint venture between Myanma Airways and Singapore interests with the support of Royal Brunei Airlines. In October 1998 that original joint venture was terminated with Myanma Airways taking total ownership. Subsequently in January 2001 a new joint venture was formed and a new aircraft livery was rolled out. Operating from Yangon (VYYY) to Kuala Lumpur (WMKK) and Bangkok (VTBS) using their single MD-82, Myanmar Airways International also participate in a number of code share agreements, most notably being their flights to Singapore (WSSS) operated by Jetstar Asia. As FS9 does not include VTBS by default, if you have not installed an AFCAD or scenery for this new airport install the alternate flightplan set included instead.

Alaska Airlines McDonnell Douglas Super 80 Download

File Description:
N979AS (cn 53471/2139), version 1. Alaska Airlines McDonnell Douglas MD-83 for the Super 80 CLASSIC version only!! Sadly, Alaska Airlines phased out their Maddog's and today (the 24th of August 2008), their last 4 MD's operate the last revenue flight for the company. This particular plane has a screwdriver tail so this livery was originally created for the recently released Super80 PRO package. With some minor adjustments we were able to convert it for usage with the CLASSIC version as well. Custom specular and normal mapping and as always : worn, torn, weathered and (a little) dirty. Screenshots are unedited. Installation is easy ; just use the repaintmanager. Coolsky / Flight1 Super 80 Classic package required. More info about our repaints and future updates and/or fixes on - www.mcphatstudios.net-. Happy landings, enjoy the textures.

Republic P-47D-25 324th FG (83) "Wee Three" Download

Images related to this file:

File Description:
This folder contains a repaint for the P_47D-25 Bubbletop by Aeroplane Heaven, in the colors of P-47D-30 44-19726 #83 "Wee Three" of the 316th FS, 324th FG, 9th AF. The name came from its first pilot, who was married and had a small child, hence the "Wee Three". After he finished his tour, the aircraft was re-assigned to Lt John Jasper Yowell jr. On 19 march 1945, while on his 65th mission, to Pforzheim, the squadron was ambushed by a flight of Me-109's. His wingman, John Haun, shot down one Me-109, but Lt Yowell was hit by enemy fire and forced to bail out. Unfortunately, his parachute didn't open. He was found and buried in his parachute by French labourers. After the war, he was reinterred at Arlington National Cemetery. Repaint by Jan Kees Blom, based on the paintkit by Aeroplane Heaven.
