Wake Effect for Static Ships - Clarification

File Description:
Wake Effect for Static Ships - Clarification. Some users have repported that they are unable to compile their properly written xml files into a bgl using bglcomp.exe. This clarification provides a link to the Microsoft Parser program which is required for bglcomp to work. I incorrectly assumed everyone would already have the parser (msxml) installed on their computers. There is also a recommendation for a handy little utility to be used with bglcomp. It shows any errors which may occur during compilation (such as a missing parser program) and that makes it much easier to solve non-compiling problems. My sincere apologies for any inconvenience my oversight may have caused.

Audio-Visual Player for your Kneeboard

File Description:
An Audio-Visual enhancement for the Kneeboard of ANY aircraft. Ever wonder what the pilots are doing on those long flights while the passengers are watching a movie? Perhaps they too are watching their favorite flic. This simple enhancement will allow you to watch movies in several formats (AVI WMV MPG) or listen to music in several formats (MP3 WAV and WMA) - on the kneeboard of any aircraft. This application does not replace any of the normal kneeboard references but simply adds an audio-visual option. The code necessary to do this was originally written by Tim Pinkawa and has been slightly modified by David "Opa" Marshall for your flying enjoyment. Please unzip to a temporary folder and follow the very simple installation instructions.

Tieton Flying Club - 4S6 in Rimrock, Washington.

File Description:
Tieton Flying Club - 4S6 in Rimrock, Washington. The default 4S6 airport enhanced using the RWY12 program. This airport is now the "home base" of the Tieton Flying Club. You can visit them at www.tietonflyingclub.bravehost.com. RWY12 program is NOT required for this scenery - all required files are included in this package. Unzip to a temporary folder (using folder option) and follow the simple installation instructions. Tested in FS2004 only. File Description: Reducing FSX Traffic speed - an Illustrated tutorial One of the more "interesting" enhancements which Microsoft introduced in FSX is the vehicle traffic which can be seen on the highways around larger cities and airports. However many simmers feel the speed at which these vehicles travel is considerably too fast and therefore quite unrealistic. One simmer has even commented that he cannot overtake many vehicles when flying low and slow in the default Cessna. It is quite easy to edit the speeds of such vehicles and the process has been documented in at least one forum post. However I thought it might be useful - especially for those not accustomed to working with command line interfaces - to have a tutorial available which illustrates each step. UPDATE 2 for Magnetic Compass gauge with selectable DIGITAL display. In response to several requests, I have added code to the mag_compass.CAB file which will allow the Compass face to be lighted at night when cockpit lights are on. As this file contains only the replacement.cab file, no editing of any panel.cfg files where you have installed the Compass with Digital display is required. The installation of the original package - Digital_Compass.zip - is necessary. Please unzip to a temporary folder and follow the simple installation instructions. UPDATE for Magnetic Compass gauge with selectable DIGITAL display. I just discovered that I failed to include instructions in the original documentation which will allow the user to choose two other display options. This update (a short text file) will explain how to easily change the display to one of three slightly different versions. I apologize for the oversight. The installation of the original package - Digital_Compass.zip - is required.

Airport ID Gauge - UPDATE

File Description:
At the request of several users, I have edited the xml script for the Airport ID gauge to make the displayed text more easily read. Instead of a Green ICAO code and Red airport name and city, the text is now all Green. Also the icon has been changed to black and white so it blends with the other default icons. This is just a replacement cab file so no further editing to what you may have already installed is necessary however a previous installation of Airport_ID.zip is required.
