This airport scenery is made only for FSX: The airport now correctly renamed to Venice Marco Polo, assigned parking as per their website with extra parking, runway 4L/22R closed and is now taxiway "T", taxiways and taxi signs updated to the latest charts, three start locations added for the helipads at the Augusta Westland apron, extra fuel trucks, support vehicle roads rebuilt and many other scenery improvements and objects added, airport views are from inside the new control tower (when in tower view) please view the readme before installation.

LIPZ - Venice Tessera Intl. Airport "Marco Polo"

File Description:
Afcad file of LIPZ (Venice Tessera "Marco Polo") airport for FSX default scenery. In order to make the scenery as close as possible to the real airport the layout is based on the newest Jeppesen parking chart of LIPZ, on the Aeronautical Information Publication Italy and on photos of the real airport. Main things that have been changed: - RWY 4L/22R has been converted into main taxiway (as it is in the real LIPZ); - runway strips and stopways have been added; - Precision Approach Path Indicators with 3° slope have been added on both sides of RWY 4R/22L; - according to ICAO documents, since RWY 4R/22L is a precision runway of the 3rd category the holding positions have been moved at 90 m and taxiways and apron links have been reduced to 23, 18 and 15 m; - the approach lighting system has been modified to look as close as possible like the real one; - parking codes have been added to match the latest airport timetable. Note: In real life nearly 100% of the departures from RWY 4R (which is the runway in use during day almost all days of the year - RWY 22L is in use during night when the wind's direction changes) use SIDs based on the CHI VOR which means that even the airlines which fly to north once airborn won't turn left but right and make half circle in order to head north. I tried to make the aircraft fly like the real ones assigning right hand pattern to RWY 4R but seems that it doesn't work - aircraft that fly to north, after takeoff will turn left instead of turning right and making half circle.

File Description:
Afcad of LIPZ (Venice Tessera "Marco Polo") airport for FS9 default scenery. In order to make the scenery as close as possible to the real airport the layout is based on the newest Jeppesen parking chart of LIPZ, on the Aeronautical Information Publication Italy and on photos of the real airport. The previous version was v1.4; instead of naming this version v1.5, I named it v2.0 because the entire airport had been redesigned from the begining in order to achieve a new level of realism. When I decided to redesign the entire airport, the idea that I had in mind was to make it more like a full scenery as real as it gets using FS stock buildings and objects than only a plain afcad. Main features that have been added since v1.4 (released on April 19th, 2007): - since October 2009 a new tower is operative on LIPZ to better manage the ground traffic on the apron, I added it trying to make the environment look as close as possible to the real one; - more than 95% of the buildings of the real world airport have their place in the scenery using FS stock buildings; - static objects and vehicles have been added; - pole lights and antenas have been added; - parking gates and ramps have been adjusted; - airline parking codes have been updated. Volare Airlines Complete Flight Plans

File Description:
VolareWEB airlines, part of the Volare Group that also includes Air Europe, is a low cost, very young airline based in Italy; it's main hubs are: Milan(LIMC-LIML-LIME), Rome(LIRF) and especially Venice(LIPZ). Most of the routes are domestic, connections with the islands, but there are also many destinations connecting minor italian airports with the rest of Europe. These flightplans are valid until 27/03/04 and are 99% accurate... Works perfectly with the beautiful texures (A320-A321) created by Sandro Frehner for FSPainter. Enjoy!
