File Description:
Afriqiyah Airways is a state-owned airline based in Tripoli, Libya. Before the Libyan civil war of 2011 it operated domestic services between Tripoli and Benghazi, and international scheduled services to over 25 countries in Europe, Africa, Asia and the Middle East; since the end of the war, it has been rebuilding its business. In mid-October 2010, Afriqiyah Airways and Libyan Airlines (Libya's other state flag carrier) were expected to merge into one airline, and, although postponed, the merger is still planned. The name Afriqiyah comes from the Arabic word for African. Afriqiyah Airways' main base is Tripoli International Airport, and the airline is a member of the Arab Air Carriers Organization and the International Air Transport Association.
Afriqiyah's livery is painted on Project Airbus's Airbus A320-214 aircraft (included). The textures are saved in 32bit format for quality graphics. Textures are also characterized by HD (High Definition). Its features are idle-reverser animation, animated pack vents and pressurisation outflow valve, detailed textures, accurate paint, dynamic shine & effects, dynamic flexing wings that respond to turbulence, fully independent suspension, trim animation, gear steering, accurate flight dynamics, spoiler animation, reflective cockpit windows, improved wingflex code with input from several new parameters including ground spoilers, fuel load, and angle of attack, transparent navigation light lenses and many more. File Description:
FS2002/2004 "Afriqiyah Airways" flight plans for the winter 2004-2005 period, which have been compiled according to the timetable available on their web site (week 10th Jan, 2005 - 16th Jan, 2005). Afriqiyah Airways is a young Libyan airline operating three leased Airbus A320 from Nouvelair Tunisie (two of them are painted in full Afriqiyah colors, while a third one is still in Nouvelair livery) and one Airbus A300-600 VIP aircraft, not included in this timetable. Its home base is Tripoli airport, and currently flies to Abidjan, Accra, Bamako, Bruxelles, Cotonou, Genève, Khartoum, Lagos, Lomé, London-Gatwick, N'Djamena, Niamey, Ouagadougou, and Paris-CDG. Fully compatible with Traffic Tools by Lee Swordy (available on this site).

File Description:
This is a repaint of the DC-3 in Linair colors. The freeware DC-3/C-47 v3 by Manfred Jahn is needed for this repaint. Linair was a charter company formed in 1962 by Sabena and oil companies in Libya to provide passenger and cargo charters. Sabena provided the aircraft, DC-3s, and technical support. Hence the similarity in livery between the airlines. Sabena consequently turned over its interest to Belgian International Air Services, in July 1965. Their fleet of DC-3s did the heavy work until they added an F-27 in 1969. In January 1975, Libyan Arab Airlines was given exclusive authority to operate in the country, thus forcing Linair out of business. This repaint was tested on FSX-SE. It should work on FSX & P3D v1-v3.

Info about the airport:
The airport has a diverse international history and has been known by a variety of names. It was originally built in 1923 as an Italian air force base called aeroporto militare di Mellaha. It became a German air base during World War II. The airbase was captured by the British 8th Army in January 1943 and transferred to the control of the US Army Air Forces, who called it Mellaha AAF until 1945, when they renamed it Wheelus Air Base for a US airman killed that year. American use continued until the 1969 Libyan coup d'état.

File Description:
Ghat is a medium-sized airport located in the south-west of Libya, near Algerian border, and 10 miles north of the city of Ghat. In early 2010s Ghat was undergoing major renovatios, but civil war in Libya has put these plans on hold. While all runways and taxiways were recently repaved, new passenger terminal is still unfinished, and air traffic is almost non-existent. Except from military and cargo planes, the only regular passenger flight to Ghat nowadays is Air Libyan from Tripoli: their A320 is visiting this place twice a week. This scenery has super-accurate layout, precise marking, and correct navaids according to the latest satellite images and charts. Photo background blends perfectly with ORBX Global. Unfinished new terminal with the construction site. Taxi signs were added for convenience. Enhanced city of Ghat and surrounding landclass. Made for P3Dv3, tested on P3Dv4 and FSX:SE. Includes installer for both FS2002 and FS2004. Features full animated moving parts - all control surfaces, canopy, gears, "live" pilots, ejection seats, crash effects, custom sounds, cockpit sound effects, high detail dynamic 3D virtual cockpit with clickable gauges and separate flight dynamics files for FS2002 and FS2004.
