This package celebrates the service career of the Boeing B-47 Stratojet, one of the most important U.S. Air Force aircraft of the 1950s and 1960s, and the plane that set the pattern for generations of later bombers and jet transports. YBJW Banjawarn Station is a remote sheep station in Western Australia. It is situated 220 miles (350 km) north of Kalgoorlie and 500 miles (800 km) north east of Perth, on the edge of the Great Victoria Desert. It covers an area of 500,000 acres (780 square miles), about the size of West Yorkshire and a little smaller than the Australian Capital Territory. In the 1990's Banjawarn was owned by the Aum Shinrikyo and following the Tokyo subway attack was the subject of an Australian Federal Police investigation. Cervantes, Western Australia is located 247kms north of Perth and is the gateway to Australia's Coral Coast. Established in 1962 and named after an American whaling ship wrecked off the coast in 1844, Cervantes is a small but growing fishing town. Cervantes is also in close proximity to the Nambung National Park and the Pinnacles Desert. Many families from Perth enjoy the close proximity of Cervantes to Perth for weekend getaways. Now that the tourist road, Indian Ocean Drive has opened, Cervantes, Jurien and Leeman, once isolated fishing spots will become more prominent on the map. REQUIRES Blencowe_LibraryKit.zip

| YPLU Plutonic Gold Mine, Peak Hill, Western Australia |

File Description:
The Plutonic Gold Mine is located 82 km east north east of Peak Hill, Western Australia. It is operated by Barrick Gold and located at the Plutonic Well Greenstone Belt. In 1988, Great Central Mines discovered the deposit which was to become Plutonic, which the company sold for A$50 million. The site was then owned by Plutonic Resources, a major Australian gold mining and exploration company. Homestake Mining Company purchased Plutonic in April 1998 for more than $1.0 billion, and, in turn, Homestake was acquired by Barrick Gold at the end of 2001. REQUIRES Blencowe_LibraryKit.zip

| YCVM Caversham RAAF Base, Western Australia (Closed 1942) |

File Description:
YCVM Caversham (Closed 1942) - the last remains of this site as it looked in 2010. If you had permission to land, runway 05 - 23 would still be accessible for a light aircraft and an ultralight could still land on what is left of the others. Sadly, this historic site is destined to become a housing estate so this is my attempt to preserve it. As with most military sites, there is a shortage of images so I would appreciate any help to make it more accurate for the period rather than what currently remains. REQUIRES Blencowe_LibraryKit.zip

| YMHL Mount Holland Mine (closed), Western Australia |

File Description:
YMHL Mount Holland Mine (closed) - Convergent Minerals Limited. Bounty Gold Mine at Mount Holland was discovered by Aztec Exploration in 1985. The annual evaporation in this area is more than double the rainfall so it is a very dry and hardy location. Mining commenced in 1988 and was completed in 2002 producing 1.2 million ounces of Gold. Further exploration indicates the possibility of expanding the resource and Convergent Minerals have recently aquired the nickel rights. The board has commissioned a desk top study into recommencing mining and gold production at the Bounty Project. REQUIRES Blencowe_LibraryKit.zip

File Description:
YWKM Wyalkatchem is at the centre of Western Australia's wheat belt, about 200 kilometres North-East of Perth. The town is thought to have been named after the Wyalkatchem Tank which was built by sandalwood cutters in 1881. Wyalkatchem is in some of Western Australia's best wildflower country. If you haven't flown over Wyalkatchem recently, you will notice the raw freshly graded surface and new strip,
recently upgraded under Regional Airports Development Scheme. Due to the tight budget of the state funded strip, taxiways, line marking and lighting of the new strip are not completed. Requires Blencowe_LibraryKit.zip.
