Wings of Power II Boeing B-17G Flying Fortress for FSX repaint - "Tiger Girl"
This is a repaint only depicting "Tiger Girl" of the 388th Bomb Group, 560th Squadron late model B-17F with the new chin turret.
Many thanks to John Terrell for sharing his templates, they were a great help. This plane was lost on its’ 12th mission when bombs were released over the target, one bomb from another group flying directly overhead
hit Tiger Girl and split it in 2, only the navigator survived.
I’ve always wanted to make a B-17 paint with the shark/tiger mouth, it wasn’t possible until this version.

File Description:
This is Version 2 of the Consolidated C-87 Liberator Express.
A new model.mdl has been created and besides all original Version 1 features such as opening cargo door, loading ramp and textures for both the USAAF and RAF it now also has working cowl flaps, wheel chocks and pilot's heads which turn in direction of the bank.
The panel folder contains the basic Alphasim B-24D panel with a modified panel.bmp which omits the astrodome fitted just forward of the B-24D bomber cockpit.
Wing/engine views can now be seen from the cockpit side windows.
The original Alphasim B-24D VC panel is also incorporated.

Calculate your fuel from the mileage and winds to airline standards, take the minimum or tanker. Get ZFW, TOW from average passenger weights including baggage and extra cargo. From these get VRef, V1 VR and V2 and take-off power N1 from the pressure altitude and temp for full, derate-1 and derate-2. Then print out on the reverse of your MS navlog. Requires MS Excel
