File Description:
File Description: X-Plane 11 Scenery - RAF Gutersloh AB (ICAO: ETUO) The scenery represents the former airbase of RAF Gutersloh, one of the most populated military bases in West Germany during the Cold War, due to its location near the former East/West border. This scenery reflects the era at the end of the 1980s/beginning of the 90s, when the Harrier GR3 was in operation there, along with Chinook helicopters. The airfield was built in 1935 and was used by the German Air Force during WW2, flying the Junkers JU-86 and Heinkel H-111. The first British squadrons were stationed there from 1947, with Mosquitos, Vampires and then Canberras. The first Harrier arrived at Gutersloh in January 1977 and 3 and 4 Squadrons became resident until their farewell in 1993, after the cold war had ended. The airfield is currently used by the British army, but they will leave in 2014 to relinquish the area to the Government of Gutersloh for civil usage. High detailed scenery by Manfred Schyma and Pete Beeby, supported by the Airfield Construction Group. X-Plane Version designed by Dietmar Hanne

Aeroflot Russian Airlines Fleet Pack 5 Download

File Description:
Aeroflot began in March 1923 as Dobrolet with a mixed fleet of De Havilland, Vickers, Junkers and other aircraft. Dobrolet merged into Dobroflot in 1929 and flew all services within Russia. By 1932 the airline was called Aeroflot. After the second world war international sevices began. At one stage Aeroflot had a massive fleet of over 7,500 aircraft although this fleet was pretty much ALL the civilian aircraft in the former Soviet Union. Aeroflot began the world's first sustained jet airline service using Tupolev Tu-104 'Camel' jets (developed from the Tu-16 'Badger' bomber) on an extensive internal route network from the summer of 1955. The Tu-104 saw service until the mid-1970s. After the breakup of the Soviet Union Aeroflot broke up into lots of smaller carriers and became known as Aerflot - Russian International Airlines. Aeroflot began using leased Boeing 767s and 737-400s alongside the older soviet types and with a revised livery. The Russian flag replaced the Red Flag. Airline history supplied by http://airlines.afriqonline.com. The fifth release contains the Aeroflot ANTK Tupolev TU-154M aircraft. Contents of the packs include only textures. Aircraft model is by PAI and can be obtained at the associated sites. These packages support MRAI fightplans for WI04. Repaints are by Frank Bass.

Heinkel P-1079A Night-Fighter Download

File Description:
Heinkel P-1079, a new twin-jet fighter project of the Heinkel Aircraft Construction Corp. was designed in five variations, all under the same designation. The first of these advanced designs, the Heinkel P-1078A was basically developed as a two-seated nightfighter. The pilot and the gunner/navigator were sitting in tandem position. The wings were swept back 35 degrees, mounted to mid-fuselage. The tail had a V-shaped rudder. The armament were three Rheinmetall-Borsig MK 108 30mm cannons in the nose and 24 R4-M 'Orkan' high explosive rockets on two racks mounted under the wings. Another feature of armament was the so-called 'schraege musik' with four upward-firing 20 mm Mauser MG 151/20 autocannons, mounted in the back of the aircraft. Therefore, the nightfighter had to approach and attack bombers from below, guided into position by commands from the navigator. The aircraft should be equipped with the new FUG 228 radar unit. This sophisticated radar would have empowered the aircraft with an almost all-weather ability. The engines were located in the wing roots. This version should be fitted with two Junkers Jumo 004D turbojet engines with two-stage fuel injector, each with 8.8 kN of power.

The max. speed was about Mach 0.89 = 950kph
The Range 1079.22nm = 1241.9 sm = 2000 km
The max. Service Ceiling was up to 51,000 ft = 15,545m

Luftwaffe, D.F.S.-230 , Assault Glider, v.01 Download

Images related to this file:

File Description:
At 4:30 A.M. on May 10, 1940, three Junkers Ju 52's took off from the Cologne airfields of Ostheim and Butzweilerhof, towing behind them three other aircraft that lacked motors. The first front service of a new weapon, the freight glider, developed by the DFS (Deutsche Forschungsanstalt fur Segelflug / German Research Institute for Sailplane Flight), had begun. A total of 41 DFS-230 freight gliders with 400 paratroopers were launched for this mission. It was their task to take the Belgian Fort Eben Emael near Maastrich. With this successful operation the crossing of the Albert Canal was secured and the cornerstone of Belgian defense fell in German hands.
These assault gliders were also used during the Krete invasion (1941). The DFS 230's last significant use was during the 'Eichen' operation: 10 assault gliders were used to deliver the group of hand picked commandos led by Otto Skorzeny against the Gran Sasso mountain-top hotel that was used to hold Mussolini. The Royal Italian Air Force (Regia Aeronautica) received from Luftwaffe, during 1941, almost 20 DFS-230 and 4 Gotha Go-242 assault gliders. These aircrafts were used only for pilot training until 09/1943.

Complete aircraft. Original GMAX hi-res model, features the usual moving parts, such as all flight controls, canopy, doors and so on (5 different versions); Five different liveries (4 'Luftwaffe' +1 "Regia Aeronautica'); multiview 2D panel (NO VC). Created by Manuele Villa.

KLM Douglas DC-3 pre-war Download

Images related to this file:

File Description:
Re-upload. FS2004 KLM Douglas DC-3 pre-war textures.

Before and after World War II, KLM was a major European operator of the Douglas DC-3. The first DC-3, PH-ALI 'Ibis', entered service with KLM in October 1936. This made KLM the first operator of the DC-3 in Europe.
22 others would join before Nazi-Germany invaded the Netherlands on 10 May 1940 and occupied the country for five dark years. Those DC-3's present at Amsterdam-Schiphol, if not destroyed by bombs, were impounded by the Germans. Other DC-3's that happened to be elsewhere out of reach of the enemy found their way either to the Dutch East Indies where they served on the KNILM routes until the Japanese invasion in February 1942, or to England where they were leased by BOAC for the London (later Bristol) to Lisbon service.
Both PH-ALI 'Ibis' and PH-ARW 'Wulp' moved to England. Unfortunately they did not survive World War II. The 'Wulp' was destroyed in November 1940 when Bristol got bombed by the German Luftwaffe. The 'Ibis' was shot down by Junkers Ju-88's on 1 June 1943 over the Bay of Biscay.

The repaints of PH-ALI and PH-ARW are based on the templates Mark Beaumont created for the MAAM-SIM Douglas DC-3 (passenger version), which were based on Jan Visser's original textures. These are textures only. You will require MAAM-SIM's great donationware Douglas R4D/DC-3 package. Repaints by Maarten Brouwer.

FSX/P3D TAI DC-3 1962 Download

Images related to this file:

File Description:
This is a repaint of the DC-3 in TAI (Transports Aeriens Intercontinentaux) colors. The freeware DC-3/C-47 v3 by Manfred Jahn is needed for this repaint. In 1946 the French government allowed the creation of some independent air carriers. On June 1 of that year TAI (Transports Aeriens Internationaux) was formed, and was based in Orly, France. Flights began on July 1, with a Junkers Ju-52. The following year they purchased 7 ex KLM DC-4s, along with 3 Bristol 170 freighters. In 1954 DC-6Bs started to replace the DC-4s. Their route network serviced mainly Africa, the Far East, the French Pacific territories, and Australasia. Prior to 1956 their network wa mainly in Africa, and Asia. On May 6, 1960, a partnership was formed with Air France, whereby TAI flew the South Pacific leg of the state carrier’s around the world service via New Caledonia and Tahiti. Later, on September 4 1960, TAI began a Douglas DC-8-32 service from Paris to Darwin via Athens, Teheran, Karachi, Bangkok, Phnom Penh, and Saigon, and on September 12, it inaugurated a route from Sydney to Los Angeles via Noumea, Nandi, Papeete, and Honolulu with the DC-8. On September 14 1961, TAI agreed, in principle, to a future merger with Union Aeromaritime de Transport (UAT). The two airlines integrated their schedules in 1962 and the amalgamation of TAI and UAT was completed on October 1, 1963, resulting in a new airline: UTA (Union de Transports Aeriens). This DC-3, F-BGXN, flew for TAI from 1956 to 1959. Textures are DXT5. This repaint was tested on FSX-SE and should work on FSX & P3D v1-3.
