paint scheme. Repaint created by Gary Nelson, a retired Air Force Security Forces colonel and an active Civil Air Patrol lieutenant colonel. Lt Col Nelson is stationed at Jacksonville Composite Squadron (SER-FL-383). Creative assistance provided by Capt Michael Thometz, CAP the of the same

TDS Boeing P-8A Poseidon VP-49 Woodpeckers. (2004/FSX) VP-49 was a long-lived Patrol Squadron of the U.S. Navy, having held that designation for 45 years from 1948 to 1994. Its nickname was the Woodpeckers from 1973 to 1994. VP-49 was disestablished at NAS Jacksonville, Florida in March 1994. Model design by Hiroshi Igami. Flight dynamics design by Nick Wilkinson and David Biggar. Master textures by Kyle Schurb.

File Description:
This is a repaint of the Dino Cattaneo's S-3B "Viking". These textures represent a Viking of VS-30, "Diamond Cutters" as it appeared on the USS Saratoga in May, 1992. On December 9 2005, the squadron was officially disestablished as the Vikings were eliminated from USN inventory at NAS Jacksonville. The textures are those of an artist interpretation and resulting rendition. THESE ARE TEXTURES ONLY! You need Dino Cattaneo's Lockheed S-3B Viking freeware package.

TDS Boeing P-8A Poseidon VP-16 War Eagles - Patron 16 (429). VP-16, nicknamed the War Eagles, is an active Patrol Squadron of the U.S. Navy. It has been based at NAS Jacksonville, Florida since its founding in 1953. The squadron's mission is to operate Maritime patrol aircraft to the fleet in support of national interests. TDS Boeing P-8 Poseidon - Patrol Squadron Eight (VP-8) The Fighting Tigers, is a U.S. Navy land-based patrol squadron that was based at the Naval Air Station Brunswick, Maine, but is now stationed at Naval Air Station Jacksonville, Florida. VP-8 is tasked to undertake maritime patrol, anti-submarine warfare (ASW), and intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance (ISR) missions. Model design by Hiroshi Igami.
