File Description:
This folder contains a repaint for the Consolidated B-24D by Flight Replicas, adapted for use in P3Dv5. It shows B-24D-10-Cf 42-62885 BZ862 of the RAF. Arrived in the UK in 1943, it was flown to Karachi, arriving there in August 1943. It first flew with 354 Sqn with serial A, before going to 160 Sqn as J. It was based in Minneriya, in present-day Sri Lanka and was used for long distance mine-laying operations. For this, they removed all extra weight and installed three additional tanks in the forward bomb-bay. This aircraft flew a sortie to southern Malaya to drop two British officers near the Kota Tinggi/Johore road on 31-7/1-8-1945, captained by Flt Lt J A Muir RCAF, and was airborne for 24 hrs 10 mins, the longest unrefuelled flight ever made by any Allied landplane in World War II; the distance flown was 3,735 mls (6,013 km). This livery represents the current RNLAF 313 Sqn Tiger Tail J-055 F-16AM based at Volkel AB, The Netherlands. The tiger tail has been designed for the 2010 NATO Tiger Meet edition, hosted by the same squadron, at Volkel. This is the final version (V2) and replaces my previous livery (F-16AM_KLu_NATO_Tiger_Meet_2010). The tail has been corrected as well as the aircraft serial number. You need the excellent payware Aerosoft F-16 for FSX in order to use this repaint. Enjoy!

Swedish Air Force Saab J-37 Viggen (Part 2). The Viggen was designed as a Cold War-era multi-role fighter, and proved itself throughout its career to be versatile in air superiority, attack/strike, antiship, and recce roles. First flying in 1967, with 329 aircraft built, the Viggen served the Flygvapnet (Swedish Air Force) for 34 years. I present an 8-LOD AI traffic model to bring another Cold War icon to the flightsim world. This second of two package represents the AJS-37 (strike), JA-37D (air superiority), AJSH-37 (maritime recce/antiship), and AJSF-37 (recce), and SK-37E (2-seat EW variant) in the service of the Swedish Air Force, with 23 models and 90 repaints. Aircraft, flight dynamics, and repaints by Michael Pearson.
