SAAB J-35J Draken - RAF Fictional

File Description:
This download contains four new texture files for Alphasim's excellent SAAB J-35 Draken, in fictional RAF liveries. These repaints arose from a pole conducted on an Alphasim forum as to what would have been the best alternative to the English Electric Lightning had it been cancelled by the British Government along with other advanced aircraft in the late 1950's. The winner was the beautiful J-35 and the four textures represent how it might have appeared in No. 92 and No. 111 Squadron colours in the mid 1960's, in a later 1970's camouflage scheme and in a final late 1980's two-tone grey from No. 5 Squadron.

File Description: L-4 Cub G-RRSR "Special Delivery" Owned by Robin Roberts, "Special Delivery", registered as G-RRSR, was restored by Robin and his father Bill, to represent the aircraft flown by Mr. Roberts Snr. in the MTO (Mediterranean Theatre of Operations) and France/Belgium in 1943/44. As part of his duties Bill was the staff pilot for Major General Matthew Ridgway whilst in North Africa. The actual serial # of G-RRSR is/was 44-80609 (c/n 12905). Can be seen at Duxford Air Museum.

Sky Express, BAe J-41 Jetstream

File Description:
Sky Express is a regional charter Airline based in Heraklion Crete and operates a BAe Jetsream J-41. The Jetstream 41 is a high-performance, pressurized-cabin, two 11230kW (1650shp) TPE33114s turboprops driving five blade constant speed McCauley propellers on initial production aircraft. Most often employed as a corporate transport in the world. Sky Express operates charter flights connecting Crete with the Aegean islands of Rhodes, Mykonos, Mytilini, Santorini and other attractive destinations. Other services include: air-taxi, Emergency Medical Service, excursions, sight-seeing and cargo flights. Textures only in 'Sky Express' livery for payware 'Precisionaerobus (PAOB) Jetstream J41 Version 2'. Repaint by Manuele Villa, September 2008.

357th FG/362nd FS G4-P "U Rolla" Mustang P-51D

File Description:
P51D-20-NA 44-72489 G4-P "U Rolla" was piloted by Lt. Edward Hyman of the 362nd FS. This aircraft was part of a batch of 130 P51D's sold to the Swiss AF in 1948. Swiss AF code was J-2021. It was phased out of service on 11th April 1958 and like all others (but J-2113) scrapped. Repaint for the Shockwave WWII Mustang by Jan Kees Blom, based on the paint kit by John Terrell.
