Military AI Works is proud to bring you the Simmons Army Airfield Complete AI Package for FS2004. Simmons AAF is located in southern North Carolina adjacent to the Home of the Airborne and Special Operations Forces, Fort Bragg. Simmons AAF is the main aviation support facility for Fort Bragg and supports the various units stationed there. This package depicts several of those aviation units that operate various types of rotary and fixed wing aircraft out of Simmons AAF. This package is also the first to feature Nick Black's BRAND NEW CH-47D AI model. File Description:
This is a set of VMFA(AW)-121 'Green Knights' textures for the Captain Sim F/A-18D Hornet. The original payware F/A-18 from Captain Sim is needed.
On December 8, 1989 the Squadron was redesignated as VMFA(AW)-121, becoming the first Marine Corps F/A-18D Night Attack Hornet Squadron. Slightly over one year later, the Squadron deployed in support of Operation Desert Storm. During the Desert Storm Air Campaign, the Squadron flew 557 sorties and 1,655.5 combat hours (more than any other Navy or Marine Corps tactical jet squadron).
The squadron is based at Marine Corps Air Station Miramar, California and falls under the command of Marine Aircraft Group 11 (MAG-11) and the 3rd Marine Aircraft Wing (3rd MAW).

File Description:
This is the Dauntless D1 Experimental Turbo Prop Sport Plane. This is a composite design study featuring seating for a total of 8 passengers, contra rotating props, a single Pratt and Whitney turbine for propulsion, retracting landing gear, opening sky stair, virtual cockpit, illuminated instrumentation when in VC mode, wheel chaulks and pitot cover flags with 'Wing Fold' command, and data on flight and the custom panel layed out in the Manual. This package comes with two complete color schemes of either browns or blues including interior fabrics. Also note two variations of prop models, one being the new experimental sub-sonic. File Description:
This is my rendition of XV778 with tailcode "H" flown by the Falkland Islands Detatchment circa 1983 .Modifications include panellines , rivets , squadron badge on flying suit , changed colour of helmet , changed number on GPU and added new bump & spec maps ( where needed ) .
There are however certain limitations with the texture mapping , for example the rear section of the main fuselage is only shown once in the paintkit,so the camouflage pattern is mirrored .One of the flaps is also mirrored above and below the wing,so all camouflage using Light Aircraft Grey undersides aren't shown correctly..The fuel tank has the same problem as certain sections are also mirrored.The camera was only mounted on the port side of the nose,not port and starboard.
