File Description:
This folder contains a repaint for the 'Little Friends' package of the Warbirdsim P-51D Mustang in the colors 44-15347 QP-J of Maj. Howard D "Deacon" Hively of Norman, OK. He flew with the 334th Fighter Squadron, 4th FG, based in Debden . This is the only known P-51D at Debden that had an olive drab finish. In this case, Deacon’s a/c had the code letters outlined in red and with a red rudder.
Repaint by Jan Kees Blom, based on the repaint kit by Warbirdsim.

From Pre Start - Startup - Before Taxi - Taxi - Before Takeoff - Takeoff - Climb Out - Cruise - Descent - Approach - Landing - Taxi To Ramp - Shutdown - Securing Aircraft - to "cold". Based on the payware(!) "Douglas R4D-6 NATS" aircraft and panel by the team Bill Rambow, Jan Visser, Fred Banting, Rob Young, Bill Womack and Howard Sodja. FS2002+FS2004 versions had more than 6'000 downloads.

File Description:
The original XC-69 Prototype "The Beast" was purchased from Howard Hughes for $100,000 in 1950. Lengthened by 18ft 7 Inches, it became the prototype L-1049. Dressed up in special duds, the first flight occurred on 13 October 1950, and the rest is history. With a slightly different paint scheme, this aircraft was used by Lockheed as a test bed for future models, including the PO-2W / WV2. Original Aircraft by Team 1049 (Manfred Jahn, Roland Berger, Volker Boehme, Luis Pallas, Bill Tyne, and Stefan Werner), requires CalClassic L1049G. Repaint by Dan McManus

This is the second version of my Hughes Airwest paint for the Mike Stone Starship, with a few new tweaks to the panel, and an all-yellow exterior. The prop textures are dds files, but everything else is compatible with FS2004, for users of the older platform who may wish to fly the "Top Banana in the West," Starship-style. FeelThere Map users will find this aircraft pre-configured, as a bonus. Textures from my prior Starship uploads are also transferrable. Enjoy flying the Starship "as if Howard had one."
