Alitalia Compagnia Aerea Italiana S.p.A. operating as Alitalia, is the flag carrier and national airline of Italy, which took over the name, the landing rights, many planes and some other assets from the liquidation process of the old Alitalia Linee Aeree Italiane and the entire Air One. It was the last airline to circumnavigate the world because of its flagship NZ1/2 (Heathrow - Los Angeles - Auckland) and NZ35/38 (Auckland - Hong Kong - Heathrow) flights, which ended on March 2013 when Air New Zealand stopped Hong Kong - London flights, in favour of a code sharing deal with Cathay Pacific. File Description:
This is the final release of my Airbus 320-100 series for X-Plane version 7.61. I've included all the possible resources so far available in Plane-Maker,including flap rails and custom landing gear struts. By adding more cross sections I was able to shape a round aircraft nose which is very close to the original.I did my best with the airfols, that probably need to be tuned up by an expert. Panel and sounds are standard with some navigations aids added, but you can use any of the nice custom cockpits and sounds available everywhere. As with any other flight simulator the quality of the visual model depends upon the monitor and the acelerator card used. By setting to very high resolution in the rendering options and antialising in the acelerator card a good balance between quality and frame rates can be obtained.
The package includes bit maps painted in the Iberia and Alitlia liveries. You just have to copy the ACF file, the weapons and the aifoils to their respective folders. A basic kit for repainting can be obtained by e-mail request to the address below, since I don't have a web page. Comments and suggestions to improve the visual model are wellcomed.
It may be repainted and freely distributed

REVISION 7.UPGRADE. MUST already have fxpiggb5.zip installed.
Unique STAND OFF capability has been added to both Pave Tack and Radar.
This is a stunning feature not previously implemented in FSX. Radar contours
now sea level to 17,000'and radar can view any airport worldwide from its
current position. Flt Pln leg toggle SW can set radar view. Pave Tack now
provides sharp detail close up views in steps to 20NM and has full 1 degree
increments with freedom of panning. Approx 5 pages added to current 56 page
Flight Manual, other minor improvements covered in the comprehensive notes.
Adds to what is already an extreme capability panel and package packed
with custom instruments and concepts not available in other aircraft.
All instruments and text are sized to be clearly and easily readable.
Includes enhanced HUD, multiple radars, GPS units, MFDs, and effects, TFR,
autopilot/autothrottle, is Carrier and Air to Air capable, ICAO entry and
day/night/IFR/VFR navigation with constant current position awareness.
HUD available in all views including the 10 Camera views. This package sets
the benchmark for the amount, type of data provided and its presentation.
Possibly the best pilot friendly military aircraft available.
